A flight stewardess feared dead after an EgyptAir jet crashed into the
Mediterranean posted this bizarre image of a plane crash on her
   Facebook page.

The image appears to show a female flight attendant emerging from the
sea with the wreckage of a plane crash behind her.

It was shared by Samar Ezz Eldin who is thought to have been one of the
crew members onboard the doomed airliner.

Experts fear it crashed into the sea while travelling from Paris to
   Cairo following a terror attack.

The image shows a plane with its nose in the water and an air
stewardess walking unfazed from the sea with her luggage.

It was posted by Ezz Eldin on Facebook in September 2014 - two months
after flight MH17 was shot down in Ukraine.

All 66 passengers and crew are believed to have died when the EgyptAir
plane crashed. There was no distress call before the jet vanished off
the radar while flying in clear weather.

While there is no suggestion that Ezz Eldin is in any way responsible
for the crash, a leading aviation expert has raised concerns that the
EgyptAir plane could have been downed following an inside job by a
   member of staff.

Mike Vivian, who is the former head of flight operations for the Civil
Aviation Authority, said concerns that somebody on the plane or at the
airport helped launch a devastating terror attack was "a major worry".

His comments come as officials in France focus on whether a possible
breach of security happened at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Mr Vivian was asked if it could be
   "an inside job".

He replied: "Well, that is a really interesting question and it is a
worry that has been in security minds for a long time now.

A still image from video released May 19, 2016 shows EgyptAir Airbus

"It is a major worry and I do not think it is insignificant that lots
of people at Paris Charles de Gaulle lost their airside pass because of
   radicalisation.

"The question has to be how did they get there in the first place and
what sort of screening is going on vis-a-vis these airport employees."

Mr Vivian said he believes the plane could have been downed because of
a hijack situation or a struggle.

He also admitted that despite security around cockpits hardening since
   9/11,they are not completely secure.

"I would be dishonest if i said it was 100% secure because it isn't."

Security at the airport was already under review after ISIS launched
its devastating terror attacks last November.

Richard Osman, 41, is believed to be among the dead

Speaking to the BBC, Eric Moucay, a lawyer, said militants had
   attempted to recruit airport staff.

"That is clear. There are people who are being radicalised in some of
the trade unions etc. The authorities have their work cut out with this
   problem," he said.

The missing EgyptAir flight MS804 made two sudden swerves before
   plunging into the sea.

The Airbus A320 fell 38,000ft out of the sky during its doomed trip
from Paris to Cairo after being downed by a suspected terrorist attack
   , aviation experts fear.

British geologist Richard Osman , 40, from Tanerdy, Carmarthenshire –
who had just recently had a second child – was believed to be among the
   dead.

Egyptian officials said Flight MS804 made a sudden swerve to the left
then to the right before diving into the sea near the Greek island of
   Karpathos.

One aviation analysts claimed the sharp movements could indicate there
was a struggle in the cockpit before the pilot lost control at 12.30am
   yesterday.

But others feared the jet could have been brought down by a timer bomb
planted before it arrived in Paris
– similar to the one the blew up Pan
   Am Flight 103
over Lockerbie in 1998.

As focus shifted towards al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula as the main
suspects behind the tragedy, former UK air accident investigator Phil
Giles said: "It's a real mystery.

Read more: What we know so far about the downed jet

"But it sounds like there could have been a device, placed on the plane
earlier at another airport in some kind of Lockerbie situation. It may
have been placed on board at Paris, though security is very tight there.

"We may see a focus on the airside staff there in the coming days."

The route taken by the doomed flight

Aviation expert Jean-Paul Troadec added: "There's a strong possibility
of an explosion on board from a bomb or a suicide bomber."

But aviation analyst Paul Charles said the plane's sudden movements
before crashing point to an on board struggle. He added: "It wasn't
necessarily a device on board. It would suggest the pilot has been
involved in some sort of an incident in the cockpit."

EgyptAir Flight 804: Airline official says debris not from plane
By Michael Pearson, Faith Karimi, Ian Lee and Steve Almasy, CNN
Updated 0549 GMT (1349 HKT) May 20, 2016

Egyptian authorities: Debris is not EgyptAir wreckage
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSksctyFYts

"Cairo (CNN) — The search for EgyptAir Flight 804 is continuing after
reports that the plane's wreckage had been found turned out to be false.
When searchers got close to debris found in the Mediterranean Sea they
realized it didn't come from the missing airliner, EgyptAir's Vice
   Chairman Ahmed Adel told CNN.
The Airbus A320, which had 66 people on board, disappeared early
Thursday as it flew from Paris to Cairo. Earlier, Adel told CNN's
Christiane Amanpour that the plane's wreckage had been found.

"We stand corrected on finding the wreckage because what we identified
is not a part of our plane. So the search and rescue is still going
on," Adel told CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper."
Adel said EgyptAir is not involved in the search and is getting its
information from Greek authorities and the Egyptian military, but he
didn't give details on why the debris found in the water was said to be
from the plane or how that information was gathered.
The plane was carrying 56 passengers and 10 crew and security officers.
Earlier, a spokesman for Greece's Hellenic National Defense general
staff had said an Egyptian search aircraft spotted two floating objects
210 nautical miles southeast of Crete. It's unclear whether those
objects were part of the wreckage described by Adel.

Speculation has centered on the possibility of a terrorist attack.
"It's very difficult to come up with a scenario that jibes with some
sort of catastrophic failure. (The evidence so far) leads us down the
road to a deliberate act," CNN aviation analyst Miles O'Brien said.
Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Sharif Fathi said technical failures
and terror each are possible explanations.
"But if you analyze this situation properly, the possibility of having
a different action aboard, of having a terror attack, is higher than
having a technical problem," Fathi said.

   What happened? Four scenarios

   Latest developments

-- The pilots have been identified to CNN as Mohamed Said Shoukair and
Mohamed Mamdouh Ahmed Assem, according to an official close to the
investigation and a security source. The sources said Shoukair was the
captain and Assem was the first officer. The head flight attendant was
identified as Mirvat Zaharia Zaki Mohamed.
-- Maintenance checks on the plane had been done on time and "no snags
      were reported," Adel told Amanpour.
-- Checks of the passenger manifest have so far resulted in no hits on
terror watch lists, officials with knowledge of the investigation told
      CNN.

-- Greek controllers tried to reach EgyptAir Flight 804 about 10 miles
before it left the country's airspace and for about 90 seconds after
and received no response, the head of the Hellenic Civil Aviation

   What happened

At 2:27 a.m., shortly before the aircraft was scheduled to exit Greek
airspace, controllers tried to reach the pilots to transfer control to
Cairo authorities. Despite repeated attempts, they received no
response, the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority said.
Radar soon lost the plane's signal, just after it entered Egyptian
   airspace, the authority said.

Timeline: The final moments of EgyptAir Flight 804

At some point before dropping off radar, the plane swerved 90 degrees
to the left, and then made a 360-degree turn to the right before
plunging first to 15,000 feet, then 10,000 feet, Kammenos, the Greek
   defense minister, told reporters

Weather conditions were clear at the time, CNN meteorologist Pedram
   Javaheri said.

   More about the flight

The flight left Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris at 11:09 p.m.
Wednesday for what should have been about a 3½-hour flight.
The passengers were predominantly Egyptian -- 30 in all -- but also
aboard were 15 French citizens, including an infant; two Iraqis; and
one from each of the following: Britain, Belgium, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia,
Sudan, Chad, Portugal, Algeria and Canada, according to Fathi, the
   Egyptian aviation minister.
The government of Canada said two of its citizens were on the plane.
The reason for the discrepancy wasn't clear.
Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said the British passenger
also was an Australian citizen. It is unclear whether any other
   passengers were dual citizens.
The Airbus A320 had routine maintenance checks in Cairo before it left
for Paris, an airline official said. Earlier Wednesday, the jet was
also in Eritrea and Tunisia, data from flight tracking websites show.

There was no special cargo on the flight and no notification of any
dangerous goods aboard, according to Adel of EgyptAir.
The plane has been part of EgyptAir's fleet since November 2003,
according to Adel. It had about 48,000 flight hours. The plane's
captain had about 6,000 flying hours, he said.
A distress signal was detected at 4:26 a.m. -- about two hours after
the jet vanished -- in the general vicinity where it disappeared, Adel
said. He said the distress signal could have come from another vessel
in the Mediterranean. Egyptian armed forces said they had not received
   a distress call.

   More about EgyptAir

   The search

The area being searched is about 130 nautical miles south-southeast of
Karpathos, the Greek Hellenic National Defense General Staff said.
The Greek military was sending two aircraft, two helicopters and a
frigate to the area where the plane was last seen on radar. The U.S.
Navy deployed a P-3 Orion aircraft to assist in the search. Egypt's
military was also involved, and France said it had tasked a
   surveillance plane to help.

   https://twitter.com/MarineTraffic/status/733199957486927872

A storm system could affect conditions in the region as early as Friday
   afternoon, Javaheri said.
As crews searched, somber relatives gathered in Cairo and Paris
   airports
, seeking word on their loved ones.
They were taken to special centers at both airports, where translators
and psychiatric support awaited. In Cairo's airport, dozens of
relatives paced anxiously in a building set aside for families. Some
shouted at photographers taking pictures of them, while others berated
officials over the perceived lack of information.

   Analysts weigh in

CNN aviation correspondent Richard Quest: "Planes just do not fall out
of the sky for no reason, particularly at 37,000 feet," he said, noting
the aircraft vanished while cruising -- the safest part of the journey.
David Soucie, a CNN aviation safety analyst: The first priority is to
find survivors. "Find the plane, find the people, see if there are
folks that could be rescued," he said. "Safety people are looking at
safety issues, maintenance people looking at maintenance issues,
security people looking at security issues."
CNN aviation analyst Les Abend: He said there are three possibilities:
an explosion, something nefarious or a stall situation. "We're in the
very early stages of the investigation. Any good accident investigator
will tell you, just put on the brakes a little bit and let this thing
unfold. The 360-degree turn, that seems very abrupt. It's not something
I would do in any major emergency unless I was losing control of the
   aircraft," he said.

   Egypt's aviation incidents

Egypt is no stranger to aviation disasters.
In March, an "unstable" man diverted an EgyptAir flight from Alexandria
to Cyprus. The suspected hijacker later released all hostages and
   surrendered.
Last year, a Russian plane exploded midair over the Sinai Peninsula,
killing all 224 people aboard. Egyptian officials initially downplayed
Islamic militants' claim that they brought down the jet, saying
   technical failure caused the crash.
And in October 1999, an EgyptAir passenger jet made a rapid descent,
plunging almost 14,000 feet in 36 seconds.
The Boeing 767, en route to Cairo from New York, crashed into the
Atlantic Ocean off the Massachusetts coast.
Its debris was later found, but speculation remains on the cause of the
crash that killed all 217 people on board.

CNN.com is reporting that several countries are getting involved in the
search for the missing EgyptAir Flight 804, including Greece, France,
   England, Cyprus and Italy.

Reports have suggested that terrorism is likely to blame for the
incident, but terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank told CNN.com that no
terrorist group has yet taken credit for the plane's disappearance.

In addition, EgyptAir's official Twitter said it could not confirm the

   UPDATE: 11:55 a.m. ET 5/19/16

According to two sources who spoke with CNN.com, government officials
from the United States are operating under the theory that EgyptAir
Flight 804 was taken down by a bomb. The sources said the theory could
change, as it is not yet supported by any "smoking gun" evidence.

   UPDATE: 10:30 a.m. ET 5/19/16

The search for the missing EgyptAir Flight 804 is on in full force, as
ships and other vessels in the Mediterranean Sea continue to look for
debris from the aircraft. Two pieces of orange debris have been
spotted, but they have not been confirmed to be from the missing plane,
   according to NBCNews.com.

United States President Barack Obama was briefed by his Homeland
Security adviser about the incident and will be given updates
throughout the day regarding the situation. Officials from the U.S. are
reaching out to countries impacted by the incident to offer support and
   assistance.

In addition, Russian officials spoke to local media about the crash,
suggesting it was likely a terrorist attack.

"Unfortunately, another incident with an aircraft of Egypt airlines
took place today. It was most likely a terrorist attack that killed 66
people from 12 countries," Russian Federal Security Service director
   Alexander Bortnikov said.

More information continues to pour in about the disappearance of
EgyptAir Flight 804 and the 66 people onboard. CNN.com is reporting the
plane "swerved 90 degrees left and then 360 degrees to the right" and
then crashed into the Mediterranean Sea.

EgyptAir officials say the last contact they had with the aircraft was
173 miles from the Egyptian coast.

"We do not deny there is a possibility of terrorism or deny the
possibility of technical fault," Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister
Sherif Fathy told CNN.com. "I will continue to use the term missing
plane until we find any debris."

"It's likely that you have some sense here that the plane was disabled
in some way or there was some sort of struggle."

Speaking to Greek broadcaster ANT1 TV, officials from Greek Civil
Aviation said they had tried to reach flight 804 just a few miles
before it left the country's airspace and for another minute and a half
after it left Greek airspace, receiving no response.

"At 3:37 a.m. local time, immediately after the aircraft entered Cairo
airspace at 37,000 feet, the aircraft swerved 90 degrees left and then
360 degrees to the right and descended from 37,000 feet to 15,000 feet
and then 10,000 feet, when we lost the signal," Greek Defense Minister
   Panos Kammenos told CNN.com.

   * Claims it landed at a US military base on the remote island of Diego Garcia

   * A Russian newspaper claiming it had been hijacked and flown to Afghanistan

   * A police chief who wouldn't rule out it being an elaborate insurance scam

If they weren't bizarre enough, others included a predication by rapper
Pitbull that it would vanish made two years beforehand, that it had hid
behind another plane on radar, the emergence of a new Asian Bermuda
   Triangle and alien abduction.

It is most commonly thought, although never proved, that the pilot
'deliberately turned off passengers' oxygen supply' before ditching it
into the sea. He had cleared his diary ahead before the ill-fated
   flight. "

EgyptAir flight MS804 pilot spoke with air traffic control 'for several minutes before crash'
Account directly contradicts the official claim that there was no distress call

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/egyptair-flight-ms804-pilot-spoke-with-air-traffic-control-for-several-minutes-before-crash-a7041936.html

The Egyptian army published photos showing wreckage and debris from EgyptAir flight 804 on 21 May Egyptian army

The pilot of the doomed EgyptAir flight spoke to air traffic control in
Egypt for several minutes just before the plane crashed, a French
   television station has claimed.

M6 said that the pilot told Cairo control about the smoke which had
engulfed parts of the aircraft and decided to make an emergency descent
to try to clear the fumes.

This account directly contradicts the official claim that there was no
   distress call from the plane.

Man describes how 'lucky' he is to have missed the EgyptAir flight

M6's story, quoting unnamed French aviation officials, was not
confirmed by the French air accident investigation agency, the BEA.

No such information had been passed by the Egyptian authorities to
three BEA investigators who had flow to Cairo to take part in the
   official inquiry, the agency said.

M6 said that the pilot of the Egyptair A320 had "a conversation several
minutes long" with Cairo air traffic control after the plane ran into
difficulties in the early hours of Thursday morning.

As a result of the conversation, the pilot decided to make an
"emergency descent", depressurising the cabin, in an attempt to clear
smoke fumes which had invaded the front of the aircraft.

Just after the Paris-Cairo flight vanished on Thursday, there were
contradictory claims about distress calls or signals. An airline
spokesman initially said that there had been a distress call from the
airbus. This statement was denied by the Egyptian military and
   withdrawn by EgyptAir.

The claims follow reports of leaked flight data showing trouble in the
cockpit and smoke in a plane lavatory just before the plane crashed.

Officials have cautioned it's still too early to say what happened to
the aircraft, but mounting evidence points to a sudden, dramatic
catastrophe that led to its crash into the eastern Mediterranean.

The Egyptian military on Saturday released the first images of aircraft
debris plucked from the sea, including personal items and damaged
seats. Egypt is leading a multi-nation effort to search for the plane's
black boxes — the flight data and cockpit voice recorders — and other
clues that could help explain its sudden plunge into the sea.

If they lost the aircraft within three minutes that's very, very
quick," said aviation security expert Philip Baum. "They were dealing
   with an extremely serious incident."

Authorities say the plane lurched left, then right, spun all the way
around and plummeted 38,000 feet (11,582 meters) into the sea — never
   issuing a distress call.

The Facebook page of the chief spokesman for Egypt's military showed
the first photographs of debris from the plane, shredded remains of
plane seats, life jackets — one seemingly undamaged — and a scrap of
cloth that might be part of a baby's purple-and-pink blanket.

The spokesman, Brig-Gen. Mohammed Samir, later posted a video showing
what appeared to be a piece of blue carpet, seat belts, a shoe and a
white handbag. The clip opened with aerial footage of an unidentified
navy ship followed by a speedboat heading toward floating debris.

Flight 804 left from Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport on Wednesday
night en route to Cairo with 66 people aboard. The first available
audio from the doomed flight indicates that all was routine as the
pilot checked in with air traffic controllers in Zurich, Switzerland,
around midnight, before being handed over to Italian air traffic
controllers in Padua (Padova): Pilot — "This is 0-7-2-5 Padova control.
(Unintelligible) 8-0-4. Thank you so much. Good day er good night."

The communication, taken from liveatc.net which provides live air
   traffic control broadcasts from around the world, occurred about 2 {
hours before Greek air traffic controllers lost contact with the plane.

Greek officials say at 2:24 a.m. local time the flight entered the
Athens sector of Greek airspace. Twenty-four minutes later, controllers
chatted with the pilot, who appeared to be in good spirits.

In Greek, the pilot quipped: "Thank you."

At 3:12 a.m., the plane passed over the Greek island of Kasos before
heading into the eastern Mediterranean, according to flight data
   maintained by FlightRadar24.

Less than 15 minutes later, about midway between Greece and Egypt, a
sensor detected smoke in a lavatory and a fault in two of the plane's
cockpit windows, according to leaked flight data published by The
   Aviation Herald.

Messages like these "generally mean the start of a fire," said
Sebastien Barthe, a spokesman for France's air accident investigation
agency. But he warned against inferring too much more from the reading.
   "Everything else is pure conjecture."

At 3:27 a.m. Greek time, air traffic controllers in Athens attempted to
contact the plane to hand over monitoring of the flight from Greek to
Egyptian authorities, according to Greek officials. There was no
response from the plane despite repeated calls, including on the
emergency frequency. At the same time, a sensor detected that smoke had
reached the aircraft's avionics, the network of computers and wires
that control the plane, according to the leaked flight data.

Greece Issued NOTAM for Israeli Military Exercise On EgyptAir MS804 Flight Path

According to NOTAM A0992 / 16 issued by the Greek authorities, the
Israeli air force has committed a large area within the Athens FIR, to
do exercises from May until early June.
More specifically, as you can see on the interactive map of Onalert.gr,
Israel has committed a very great extent, which lies south of Crete and
north of Africa line from Alexandria Egypt area up and Benghazi in
   Libya.
According to NOTAM A0992 / 16 in Athens, Greece grants this periochig
an Israeli exercise provided be filed normally flight plans by Israeli
aircraft, in accordance with international regulations, to be in
contact with Athens and continuously monitor the hazard rate in the
   event that something extraordinary occurred.
This Puts the Israeli and US Military right underneath the flight path
and the first ones on the scene. Once more, theses same two military
groups were also on the ground in Egypt right under the Russian flight
that went down in the Sinai. I think that speaks volumes! 2 Military
groups caught under 2 flights that go down connected to Egypt! Actions
   speak louder than words!

ISIS is nothing but Flare Decoy propaganda to enable  the IDF to have a
full cleared play- and shooting ground for target practice with their
latest toys at anything that moves on the ground, sea or air, civil or
military. That's all folks. MS804 nailed it. The Israeli's this time

predict much good for the relations between Putin and Israel as also
downing of the Russian airliner with 224 aboard in Egypt's Sinai can
now suddenly be explained by way of the same deceitful modus operandi
