Coroner: Former UN official John Ashe died when barbell fell on his neck

"DOBBS FERRY, New York -- A former president of the U.N. General
Assembly awaiting trial in a bribery scandal died in a weightlifting
accident when a barbell he was lifting from a bench dropped on his
   neck, an autopsy revealed Thursday.

John Ashe was declared dead late Wednesday afternoon by a paramedic who
responded to his Dobbs Ferry home.

Dr. Kunjlata Ashar, Westchester County's medical examiner, said the
cause of death - traumatic asphyxia - was determined during an autopsy,
though she did not perform the procedure herself and did not have
additional details. It was deemed an accident based on a combination of
information from the autopsy and an investigation by the Dobbs Ferry
   Police Department, officials said.

The police department said in a statement that the death appears
accidental, but provided little information otherwise.

Ashe, the former United Nations ambassador from the twin-island
Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda, was arrested last fall and had
pleaded not guilty to tax charges related to a bribery scandal. His
attorney said he was planning to go to trial.

In a statement Wednesday, current U.N. General Assembly President
Mogens Lykketoft described Ashe as a "hard-working and popular member
of the diplomatic corps in New York and at the United Nations" before
he faced the unproven allegations. He had said Ashe died of a heart
   attack.

Prosecutors said a billionaire Chinese businessman and others had
funneled over $1 million to Ashe while he served as president of the
193-nation assembly from September 2013 to September 2014. The
billionaire Chinese real estate maven, two diplomats and a humanitarian
organization officer were among others charged in the case.

Ashe's attorney, Jeremy Schneider, called his client's death "a tragic
loss for his family and the community."

Five days before testifying against Hillary Clinton for her Email
Scandal, Ashe was found dead at his home in Dobbs Ferry, New York on
   June 22, 2016.
The Westchester, New York, medical examiner's office
reported that Ashe died of injuries when a barbell he was lifting from
a bench dropped on his neck.[18] U.N. spokesman Dan Thomas previously
reported that Ashe died of a heart attack. The medical examiner
clarified Ashe died from traumatic asphyxia and suffered laryngeal

A Top Official Scheduled To Testify Against Hillary FOUND DEAD! Breaking News

"There are major questions being raised about the suspicious death of
former United Nations (U.N.) official John Ashe. Was foul play involved?

A bombshell report shows that Ashe, who was found dead last week,
supposedly due to a heart attack, is having the reason for death
   brought into question.

Police officers in the city of Dobbs Ferry, New York have claimed he
instead died by a crushed throat in a "workout accident."

Ashe was scheduled to testify in court today, along with Ng Lap Seng –
a Chinese businessman and co-defendant – who received more than $1
billion during his term as president of the U.N. in donations.

Sing also found ways to illegally funnel money to Democrats during
President Bill Clinton's term in office.

Could this be Hillary Clinton silencing people who "know too much?"

Ng was identified in a 1998 Senate report as the source of hundreds
of thousands of dollars illegally funneled through an Arkansas
restaurant owner, Charlie Trie, to the Democratic National
Committee during the Clinton administration. (Ng was not charged
      with any crime.)

Ng and Trie had visited the White House several times for
Democratic fund-raising events and were photographed with
then-President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton.

One source told me, "During the trial, the prosecutors would have
linked Ashe to the Clinton bagman Ng. It would have been very
embarrassing. His death was conveniently timed."

Ashe's lawyer Jeremy Schneider told me he is sure Ashe's death was
an accident. "There is not one iota of evidence that it was
homicide. This is nothing at all like Vince Foster."

Police in Dobbs Ferry village are keeping the investigation open
pending an autopsy by the Westchester medical examiner.

   Via NY Post

We know there are at least 46 people from Clinton world who have died
under mysterious circumstances. While some are certainly a coincidence,
it is very clear that being deeply connected into the Clinton political
world can be hazardous to your health.

In this case, no definite evidence exists that it was a murder and
Ashe's own lawyer disagrees with the theory. However, with Hillary
Clinton's track record, it's definitely worth further investigation.

What do you think about the suspicious timing of John Ashe's death?

US is the most corrupt country in the world. Almost all the corruption is at the top, however, and almost everyone at the top is a crook.

But, Mike, Americans would never recognize it.  They only think foreign countries are corrupt.

They see and hear reports about foreign officials demanding money to perform some function, and they think "how awful," but, in Yankee Doodle Land, almost everything you want to do requires the use of a fucking lawyer - an officer of the court, and a member of the bar - but stupid Americans don't think of this as corrupt.

Even corruption in Yankee Doodle Land is dishonest.  The honest corrupt foreigners just say "give me some money," but, here in Yankee Doodle Land,  Americans think paying a lawyer isn't "greasing the wheel," and they are, somehow, thankful that the greedy bastard got something done.

The corruption today is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.  Years ago, Congressman and Senators would be censured and expelled for misusing some stamp money (Dan Rostenkowski) or supposedly having your driveway paved (Jim Traficante), but now, they just steal millions upon millions, and it just "oh well..."

The only way a Congressman or Senator gets into trouble today is if he likes women, and then, it out you go.  Just look at one of the fucking bitches in DC cross-eyed, and you've a sex offender.

MikeWB

You're 100% right. And yes, I see the same thing: corruption today is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The amount of it and how no one seems to give a damn about it is just shocking! These Clintons are like a mafia crime family and no one can touch them. They buy & sell influence and accept donations from all kinds of dictatorships and no one gives a damn. People are just ambivalent.

Lynch seems a very poor liar and therefore in over her head.  The Evil Bitch and Billy Boner are in serious trouble.  Herd is still very large, but there is a very sizable number who've escaped in the last decade.  Won't be long now. (*)>  :D:D

CRIMINAL LAW AND JUSTICE
Loretta Lynch: 'I Certainly Wouldn't Do It Again'
July 1, 2016  • URI FRIEDMAN, THE ATLANTIC
https://www.aspeninstitute.org/videos/loretta-lynch-certainly-wouldnt/

"United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch isn't explicitly calling
her private meeting with Bill Clinton earlier this week a mistake. She
won't say that she should have kicked the former president off her
plane when he boarded it for a brief chat at the Phoenix airport, even
though her department is leading an investigation into whether
Clinton's wife or her aides committed a crime by mishandling classified
   material.

Nevertheless, Lynch has pledged to heed the guidance of federal
prosecutors and investigators regarding whether to bring charges
against Hillary Clinton for her use of a personal email server as
secretary of state. The announcement—a display of deference from
someone who retains the final say on whether to pursue an indictment
against Clinton—is meant to dispel the perception of political meddling
in a decision that could very well influence the outcome of the
   presidential election.

"I fully expect to accept" the recommendations of FBI and Justice
Department investigators and prosecutors, Lynch said at the Aspen Ideas
Festival, which is co-hosted by the Aspen Institute and The Atlantic.
She added that she would not be recusing herself from the case for a
possible conflict of interest, as some Republicans have demanded,
meaning she would still be briefed on the findings of the investigation
   and the suggested next steps.

Moderator Jonathan Capehart sought to clarify what precisely Lynch
   meant by "accept."

"Accepting to me means, 'Here Madame Attorney General: Here are our
findings.' And you completely accept them wholeheartedly and then issue
them to the public," he said. "Or you accept them, look them over, and
then make your own determination as to what the final determination
   will be."

"No, the final determination as to how to proceed will be contained
within the recommendations and the report in whatever format the team
puts it together," Lynch said. "That has not been resolved."

Lynch outlined how the investigation will proceed, though she didn't
specify a timeline or what might happen if the FBI and Justice
Department come up with different recommendations: "The matter is being
handled by career agents and investigators with the Department of
Justice. ... They are acting independently. They follow the law, they
follow the facts. That team will make findings—that is to say, they
will come up with a chronology of what happened, the factual scenario,
they will make recommendations as to how to resolve what those facts
lead to. The recommendations will be reviewed by career supervisors in
the Department of Justice and in the FBI, and by the FBI director. And
then, as is the common process, they present it to me."

She emphasized that the process would be led by "career" officials who
aren't politically appointed. (Lynch was appointed as attorney general
by President Obama, and previously appointed as U.S. attorney for the
Eastern District of New York by President Bill Clinton.) These
officials, she noted, "live from administration to administration."

Lynch said the process disclosed on Friday has been planned for some
time, though she also suggested that the meeting with Clinton
   precipitated her announcement.

"We ... don't typically talk about the process by which we make decisions
... but in this situation, because I did have that meeting, it has raised
concerns, I feel," she said. "And while I can certainly say this
matter's going to be handled like any other, as it has always been,
it's going to be resolved like any other, as it was always going to be,
I think people need the information about exactly how that resolution
will come about in order to know what that means and really accept that
and have faith in the ultimate decision of the Department of Justice."

Lynch characterized her tete-a-tete with Clinton as a "social meeting"
in which Lynch, her husband, and Clinton discussed Clinton's
grandchildren, his travels, and former U.S. Attorney General Janet
Reno. (Lynch has previously said the meeting wasn't planned.)

"No matter how I viewed it, I understand how people view it," Lynch
said. "And I think that because of that, and because of the fact that
it has now cast a shadow over how this case may be perceived, no matter
how it's resolved, it's important to talk about how it will be
resolved. It's important to make it clear that that meeting with
President Clinton does not have a bearing on how this matter's going to
be reviewed, resolved, and accepted by me. Because that is the question
   that it raises."

"You'd be well within your right to say, 'Um, get off my plane. What
are you doing here?'" Capehart responded. "Do you regret not telling
the former president of the United States to leave the premises?" The
   audience, and Lynch, laughed.

"I may have viewed it in a certain light, but the issue is how does it
impact the work that I do and the work that the Department of Justice
does?" Lynch answered. "And I certainly wouldn't do it again. ... The
most important thing for me, as the attorney general, is the integrity
   of this Department of Justice."

TRUE STORY:  Decades ago, Yankee Doodle worked for Amtrak, and used free travel pass to go somewhere, and picked Boston.  Got off train at Back Bay Station early in the morning, and first thing to do was find some place to eat.  Hmm...looks like a hotel, but there's a sign saying proper attire required.  Asked at door, and was allowed into almost-empty dining room for breakfast at The Copley Plaza Hotel.  Very big-time hotel in Boston, but Yankee Doodle didn't know that at the time.

Some years later, read a small report in Washington Post about incident at the Copley Plaza Hotel.  Seems Jimmy Carter, avowed enemy of hometown hero Ted Kennedy, was staying at the Copley, and had come down for dinner, but was not wearing the required jacket, but only his famous sweater, and the man at the door refused to allow him into the jacket-required dining room - where Yankee Doodle had breakfasted early one morning in street clothes and a winter coat years before - which prompted Carter's Secret Service agent to say "He's the President of the United States," which got this response:  "Well, if he's President of the United States, he can have a jacket."    TRUE.   <lol>

"PHOENIX - Amid an ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of
email and hours before the public release of the Benghazi report, US
Attorney General Loretta Lynch met privately with former President Bill
   Clinton.

The private meeting took place on the west side of Sky Harbor
International Airport on board a parked private plane.

Former President Clinton was visiting the Phoenix area and arrived to
Sky Harbor Monday evening to depart.

Sources tell ABC15 Clinton was notified Lynch would be arriving at the
airport soon and waited for her arrival.

Lynch was arriving in Phoenix for a planned visit as part of her
national tour to promote community policing.

ABC15 asked Lynch about the meeting during her news conference at the
   Phoenix Police Department.

"I did see President Clinton at the Phoenix airport as he was leaving
and spoke to myself and my husband on the plane," said Lynch.

The private meeting comes as Lynch's office is in charge of the ongoing
investigation and potential charges involving Clinton's email server.

The private meeting also occurred hours before the Benghazi report was
released publicly involving Hillary Clinton and President Obama's
   administration.

Lynch said the private meeting on the tarmac did not involve these
   topics.

"Our conversation was a great deal about grandchildren, it was
primarily social about our travels and he mentioned golf he played in
Phoenix," said Lynch Tuesday afternoon while speaking at the Phoenix
   Police Department.

Sources say the private meeting at the airport lasted around 30 minutes.

"There was no discussion on any matter pending before the Department or
any matter pending with any other body, there was no discussion of
Benghazi, no discussion of State Department emails, by way of example I
would say it was current news of the day, the Brexit decision and what
   it would mean," she said.

Veteran TV newsman and former University of Alabama football player
Christopher Sign died Saturday morning in an apparent suicide,
   according to police.

At 8:13 a.m. Saturday, the Hoover 911 center received a call of a
person down at a residence on Scout Trace. Hoover police and fire
personnel arrived to find the 45-year-old Sign dead.

Hoover police Lt. Keith Czeskleba said the death is being investigated
   as a suicide.

ABC 33/40 in 2017 announced Sign was returning to Birmingham from
Phoenix as the evening anchor, replacing Dave Baird after he retired.

Sign co-anchored broadcasts with Brenda Ladun and Pam Huff.

"Our deepest sympathy is shared with Chris's loving family and close
friends," said Sinclair Broadcast Group Vice President and General
   Manager Eric S. Land.

"We have lost a revered colleague whose indelible imprint will serve
forever as a hallmark of decency, honesty and journalist integrity. We
can only hope to carry on Chris's legacy. May his memory be for
   blessing," Land said.

Sign, who grew up near Dallas, previously worked as a reporter for ABC
33/40 from 2000 to 2005, where he covered the 2001 Brookwood mine
disaster and hurricanes Charlie, Frances and Ivan.

While a reporter and morning anchor at ABC affiliate KNXV-TV in
Phoenix, Sign broke the story of the June 2016 secret tarmac meeting
between former President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta
   Lynch.
