FARAGE: TRUMP NEEDS TO TALK ABOUT POLICY AND IGNORE HILLARY'S PERSONAL ATTACKS IN SUNDAY'S DEBATE

"Nigel Farage has said that Donald Trump should ignore personal attacks
from Hillary Clinton during Sunday's debate and focus on key policy,
following the release of an audio recording of lewd comments made the
Republican presidential nominee over ten years ago.

Mr. Farage, who has returned as interim leader of UKIP following the
resignation of Diane James, is in St. Louis, Missouri, to watch the
debate on Sunday. He spoke to Breitbart News Saturday's host and Editor
in Chief of Breitbart London Raheem Kassam, and said he fears that the
second presidential debate will take a "downwards trajectory".

"I think it's a bit of a shame, frankly, that there is a danger that
tomorrow's debate degenerates into Donald Trump's comments and Bill
   Clinton's behaviour.

"My guess is what most voters care about is who is best going to
represent them, who is best going to lead America, who is best to lead
   ordinary people into better times."

"He's got to get this debate off the personal stuff and back on to
   policy if he possibly can."

He added: "[Mr. Trump should] try and make the argument that he will
not be 'owned' and held up by the big banks of Wall Street and the big
   multinational businesses; that he's on the side of ordinary Americans;
that he sees the great threat from terrorism; that he wants to control
   the borders."

When asked what he thought of the recently-leaked Hillary Clinton
speeches to Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs, where the Democrat nominee
said that her "dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade
and open borders", the man who delivered a Leave vote in the UK-EU
   referendum said:

"No wonder Hillary Clinton was so upset with the Brexit vote. You can
see from these speeches that she saw the European Union as a prototype
for a much bigger form of world government. That's where Clinton wanted
   to take things."

Mr. Farage also suggested that Mr. Trump should discuss Ms. Clinton's
leaked admission that Syrian 'refugees' cannot be properly vetted and
that terrorists are amongst them, commenting that "every time Trump
talks about security, the need to control borders and to vet carefully
who comes into this country...his poll ratings go up".

He added: "[Trump] needs to be calm. What Hillary did so cleverly last
time around was she kept attacking him as a person. And he – being a
proud alpha male – kept defending himself.

"Why should he be moralised to on money, taxes, or sexual behaviour by
   a Clinton?

"And that's what he needs to say to her and just move on and talk about
security, talk about the economy and if he does that he'll come out the
   winner from this debate."
