communicating with WikiLeaks prior to his death.

* On July 10, 2016, at 4:20 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department (MPD)
officer Jody O'Leary responded to a gun shooting at a residential
neighborhood in D.C. — the southwest corner of 2134 Flagler Place NW,
Washington, DC 20001.
* Officer O'Leary was assisted by MPD officers Robert Wingate Robinson,
Derek Tarr, Shea Ellis, Benjamin Velez and Mark Lee (Velez and Lee wore
body cameras).
* The victim was Seth Conrad Rich.
* Rich was shot in the back, not the head, and was still alive and
conscious when police found him.

Here's MPD's "Public Narrative" on the shooting:

CIC reports the sound of gunshots at 2134 Flagler Pl. NW. Upon arriving
to the scene, the decedent was laying in the Southwest corner of the
intersection of W St. and Flagler Pl. NW. The decedent was conscious
and breathing with apparent gunshot wound(s) to the back. The decedent
was transported to local area hospital and was pronounced [sic] by
attending physician at 0557 hours.

(2) RELATIVE OF DC POLICE OFFICER WORKED FOR HILLARY CLINTON?

Robert Wingate Robinson was one of the MPD officers on the scene of
Seth Rich's murder. On the Metropolitan Police Department's website, he
is listed as Robert Wingate-Robinson.

There's a Nandi Robinson, 23, who lives with a Robert Robinson in Bel
Air, Maryland, 57 miles from Washington, DC (Spokeo).

Nandi Robinson's LinkedIn page says that:

* In 2010, she graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Michigan State
University.
* From April 2015 to April 2016, she worked as a Research Associate for
Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign Hillary for America.
* From May 2016 to present, she is an IE Deputy Research Director at the
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in metro D.C.

Is Nandi Robinson related to MPD Officer Robert Wingate Robinson?

Seth Rich's parents, Joel and Mary Ann, are asking people to disregard
"conspiracy theories" about their son's death, and insist that they
firmly believe Seth was the victim of a random robbery as MPD claims,
although the killer(s) did not take Rich's wallet, watch, and cell
phone.

Maxwell Tani of Business Insider writes:

Many top right-leaning outlets have dismissed intelligence and
law-enforcement findings that Russia hacked and leaked private DNC
emails in which top staffers were hostile to Vermont Sen. Bernie
Sanders during the 2016 Democratic primary.

The insinuation that Rich leaked the emails has reignited the claim
online that Rich's dissatisfaction with the DNC, not Russian
interference, influenced the election. On Monday, WikiLeaks founder
Julian Assange retweeted the Fox 5 story.

Rich's family said Wheeler's assertions were "unsubstantiated claims"
and that they saw "no facts, we have seen no evidence, we have been
approached with no emails and only learned about this when contacted by
the press."

"Even if tomorrow an email was found, it is not a high enough bar of
evidence to prove any interactions as emails can be altered, and we've
seen that those interested in pushing conspiracies will stop at nothing
to do so," the family said in a statement.

Yesterday, on the Internet chat forum 4chan, an individual who goes by
the alias of Anonymous (ID: rhotYJAg) claimed to be a surgery resident
at Washington Hospital Center who had attended to Seth Rich — the
27-year-0ld Democratic National Committee (DNC) staffer who leaked
thousands of damaging DNC emails to WikiLeaks.

Rich was shot in the early morning hours (around 4 a.m.) on Sunday,
July 10, in a residential area of Washington, D.C. Although police say
Rich was the victim of a "random burglary," his killer(s) left behind
Rich's wallet, watch and cell phone.

Unless Anonymous comes forth to reveal his/her identity, there is no
way for us to know if Anonymous is who he/she claims to be. However, as
you will read for yourself, I find Anonymous to be credible because of
the display of medical knowledge and use of medical shorthand
terminology.

This is what Anonymous said:

* Seth Rich was shot twice in the back.
* He sustained a "small injury" to his liver and "several small bowel
injuries" — none of which was fatal.
* He was taken to the operating room, where his injuries were treated.
* He was then moved to ICU (Intensive Care Unit) where he received blood
transfusion. He was stable, his blood pressure normal.
* 8 hours after Rich arrived at the hospital, the place "swarmed" with
law enforcement officers. Everyone, except the attending physician and
a few nurses, was kicked out of the ICU. There were no visiting hours,
which is abnormal for ICU.
* That morning, Anonymous and the other doctors were instructed not to
make rounds (visits) on "the VIP that came in last night" (Seth Rich).
* When Rich died, no one other than the attending physician was allowed
to see him. There was no code alert or call for a cardiopulmonary
resuscitation team. Although Anonymous was with a patient in the next
room, he/she was blocked from attending to Rich.
* At the time, Anonymous couldn't understand why the patient Rich was
treated that way and thought the whole thing to be "fishy". Later, when
he found out that the patient was Seth Rich, Anonymous "was terrified".

4th year surgery resident here who rotated at WHC (Washington Hospital
Center) last year, it won't be hard to identify me but I feel that I
shouldn't stay silent.

Seth Rich was shot twice, with 3 total gunshot wounds (entry and exit,
and entry). He was taken to the OR emergently [sic] where we performed
an exlap and found a small injury to segment 3 of the liver which was
packed and several small bowel injuries (pretty common for gunshots to
the back exiting the abdomen) which we resected ~12cm of bowel and left
him in discontinuity (didn't hook everything back up) with the intent
of performing a washout in the morning. He did not have any major
vascular injuries otherwise. I've seen dozens of worse cases than this
which survived and nothing about his injuries suggested to me that he'd
sustained a fatal wound.

Note: "OR" means operating room; "exlap" refers to exploratory
laparotomy — is a surgical operation where the abdomen is opened and
the abdominal organs examined for injury or disease. It is the standard
of care in various blunt and penetrating trauma situations in which
there may be multiple life-threatening injuries; "resected" means cut
off or remove.

In the meantime he was transferred to the ICU and transfused 2 units of
blood when his post-surgery crit came back ~20. He was stable and not
on any pressors, and it seemed pretty routine. About 8 hours after he
arrived we were swarmed by LEOs and pretty much everyone except the
attending and a few nurses was kicked out of the ICU (disallowing
visiting hours -normally every odd hour, eg 1am, 3am, etc- is not
something we do routinely). It was weird as hell. At turnover that
morning we were instructed not to round on the VIP that came in last
night (that's exactly what the attending said, and no one except for me
and another resident had any idea who he was talking about).

Note: "post-surgery crit" is post-surgery critical care; "pressor"
means "tending to increase blood pressure"; "LEOs" is law enforcement
officers; "not to round" means not to make bedside visits.

No one here was allowed to see Seth except for my attending when he
died. No code was called. I rounded on patients literally next door but
was physically blocked from checking in on him. I've never seen
anything like it before, and while I can't say 100% that he was allowed
to die, I don't understand why he was treated like that. Take it how
you may, /pol/, I'm just one low level doc. Something's fishy though,
that's for sure.

Note: "No code was called" means no emergency alert was sounded for a
cardiopulmonary resuscitation team; "/pol/" refers to "politically
incorrect" posts on 4chan.

When he [Seth Rich] arrived to the trauma ward he had LR running, I
don't keep up with how much he got but less than 2 liters before we
rolled to the OR.

Note: The medical dictionary says "LR" is "liver channel".

No transfusion was done in trauma; the massive transfusion protocol was
started because he was hypotensive on arrival but by the time the
cooler (4u PRBC, 2u FFP) was ready we were on the way to the OR and
honestly I don't remember if he got any of it beforehand; he responded
well to just IVF resuscitation so we went ahead with the surgery any
just ended up giving him 2 units afterwards (the crit we got in trauma
was returned just after we left and was low, ~24 IIRC but it wasn't
communicated to us... teamwork fail for sure but that can happen when
we're rushing to the OR)

Note: "hypotensive" means abnormally low blood pressure.

As for the rest of the meds? You'd have to ask anesthesia I guess. He
didn't need anything from us in the ICU except a propofol/fentanyl drip
to maintain sedation while intubated but that's pretty par for the
course. The important part was that he was hemodynamically stable and
not requiring pressors.

I haven't spoken to the attending who was on staff that night but the
other resident I was with that night doesn't remember it in any clarity
(he was called to traumas as part of his rotation but that was
ancillary to his ICU -different ICU btw- duties). Basically he said,
"yeah that was weird, right?" At the time we were way more concerned
with the rising class / new interns (July 1st is a terrifying time to
be a patient lol) to make much notice... it always stuck in my head as
something super bizarre but it was a long time before I even realized
it was Seth Rich. When he arrived he was assigned by our system a
trauma number, not a name as his patient ID. I only knew him at that
time as Tra### (no freaking way that I remember the actual number).
When it came to light who he was a while later I was floored. And
terrified.

roc and screw with the vent settings. No idea if that happened but it'd
be easy if you have the right meds and access

In trauma you always assume by protocol that 3 holes = 3 bullets but it
was pretty clear that he was shot twice by the trajectory of the bullet

media doesn't get the number right every time.
Yeah, I'm not going to do that. Way too dangerous.

Police Body Camera footage erased!

The police report shows police officer Robert Wingate Robinson who
found Seth Rich and the other police officers were wearing a body
camera but apparently my source reports the body camera footage is all
missing! This needs immediate investigation by the FBI now that
Clinton operative James Comey no longer controls it!

The hackers were able to check out the surveillance cameras all around
the murder scene and all had been tampered with and erased only for the

10 on a Washington, D.C., street just steps from his home had leaked
thousands of internal emails to WikiLeaks, law enforcement sources told
Fox News.

A federal investigator who reviewed an FBI forensic report -- generated
within 96 hours after DNC staffer Seth Rich's murder -- detailing the
contents Rich's computer said he made contact with WikiLeaks through
Gavin MacFadyen, a now-deceased American investigative reporter,
documentary filmmaker, and director of WikiLeaks who was living in
London at the time.

"My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree
of email exchange between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks."

"I have seen and read the emails between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks," the
federal investigator told Fox News, confirming the MacFadyen

DC homicide detective and Fox News contributor and whose private
investigation firm was hired by Rich's family to probe the case. Rich
was shot from behind in the wee hours, but was not robbed.

"My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email
exchange between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks," Wheeler said. "I do believe
that the answers to who murdered Seth Rich sits on his computer on a
shelf at the DC police or FBI headquarters."

The federal investigator, who requested anonymity, said 44,053 emails
and 17,761 attachments between Democratic National Committee leaders,
spanning from January 2015 through late May 2016, were transferred from
Rich to MacFadyen before May 21.

On July 22, just 12 days after Rich was killed, WikiLeaks published
internal DNC emails that appeared to show top party officials conspired
to stop Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont from becoming the party's
presidential nominee. That controversy resulted in Debbie Wasserman
Schultz resigning as DNC chairperson. A number of Sanders supporters
refused to back party nominee Hillary Clinton, and some subsequently
formed groups to work against Clinton and the party.

WikiLeaks leader Julian Assange has stopped short of identifying Rich
as the source of the emails, but has taken a keen interest in the case,
and has not denied working with Rich.

"WikiLeaks has decided to issue a US$20k reward for information leading
to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich," the
organization announced.

Washington's Metropolitan Police Department has no suspects and no
substantial leads as to who the killer or killers may be, sources close
to the investigation said. Metropolitan Police, including the police
chief, have refused to discuss the case, despite requests from Fox News
dating back 10 months.

The FBI's national office declined to comment, but sources said the
bureau provided cyber expertise to examine Rich's computer.

Wheeler believes powerful forces are preventing the case from a
thorough investigation.

"My investigation shows someone within the D.C. government, Democratic
National Committee or Clinton team is blocking the murder investigation
from going forward," Wheeler told Fox News. "That is unfortunate. Seth
Rich's murder is unsolved as a result of that."

The botched robbery theory, which police have pursued for nearly a
year, isn't panning out, Wheeler said. Two assailants caught on a
grainy video tape from a camera posted outside a grocery mart, shot
Rich twice in his back, but did not take his wallet, cell phone, keys,
watch or necklace worth about $2,000.

Police should consider all angles, Wheeler said, especially in light of
Assange's statements to a Dutch television reporter who asked about
Rich.

"I am suggesting," Assange told the Dutch reporter, "that our sources
take risks, and they, they become concerned to see things occurring
like that."

On Twitter, WikiLeaks announced the reward but said Assange's statement
"should not be taken to imply that Seth Rich was a source for WikiLeaks
or to imply that his murder is connected to our publications" because
WikiLeaks has a policy not to release the names of its sources, even
after their death.

In subsequent appearances on Fox News Channel, Assange confirmed,
"We're interested in anything that might be a threat to alleged
WikiLeaks sources."

Assange has not returned a series of recent emails from Fox News about
Rich. MacFadyen, who was considered a mentor by Assange, died of lung
cancer on Oct. 22 at age 76.

D.C. police have announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to
the conviction of Rich's killer. Republican lobbyist Jack Burkman has
offered a separate $130,000 reward.

Rich had been at Lou's City Bar a couple of miles from his home until
about 1:15 a.m. He walked home, calling several people along the way.
He called his father, Joel Rich, who he missed because he had gone to
sleep. He talked with a fraternity brother and his girlfriend, Kelsey
Mulka.

Around 4:17 a.m., Rich was about a block from his home when Mulka,
still on the phone with him, heard voices in the background. Rich
reassured her that he was steps away from being at his front door and
hung up.

Two minutes later, Rich was shot twice. Police were on the scene within
three minutes. Rich sustained bruising on his hands and face. He
remained conscious, but died at a nearby hospital less than two hours
later.

Police detectives will not say whether Rich provided them with any
clues about the identity of his attackers or their motivation, Wheeler
said. However, Wheeler believes Rich could have provided information
prior to his death of who was responsible for carrying out his murder.

Police also have refused to release security footage from a market on
the corner of the crosswalk where Rich was killed. The footage, sources
told Fox News, shows two people following Rich across the tiny
crosswalk just moments before he was attacked. The camera captured
grainy footage of the assailants' legs and Rich as he fell backward
into the street after being shot.

Wheeler said normally police would release the footage to the media.
The family also should be privy to the entire case jacket, with all the
details of the case, unless they are considered suspects, Wheeler said.
However, to date, the family has not received a copy of the tape or
most of the details related to their son's murder case. The homicide
case remains open, according to a spokesperson for D.C. police.

Rich's father, Joel Rich, could not be reached for comment, but told
Fox News in January that he didn't believe his son would leak the
emails. However, he said above all, his son "wanted to make a
difference in the world."

Twitter, whose founder has expressed regret that his organization's
advocacy for free speech may have contributed to Donald Trump's
election as president, on Wednesday suspended for 12 hours WND.com's
account for a headline tweet on Donna Brazile's involvement in the
scandal developing over the death of DNC staffer Seth Rich.

Rich died in a gun attack in Washington, D.C., last July, and several
individuals believe he was the source of DNC internal emails that were
turned over to WikiLeaks and published on the Internet on the eve of
the Democratic National Convention.

The tweet was: "Bombshell: Donna Brazile warned off private eye on Seth
Rich murder..."

On Wednesday, Twitter sent a message instructing WND to delete the
tweet. "If you feel that your account has been locked in error, you can
appeal by contacting our support team here," Twitter said.

Another message stated: "We've temporarily limited some of your account
features."

"What happened? We have determined that you have violated the Twitter
Rules, so we've temporarily limited some of your account features.
While in this state, you can still browse Twitter, but you're limited
to only sending Direct Messages to your followers – no tweets,
retweets, or likes. Your account will be restored to full functionality
in: 11 hours and 10 minutes."

Twitter declined to comment when asked by a WND reporter, except to ask
which account was being referenced.

A WND company official confirmed the tweet was deleted per the
company's instructions.

The news story was about a private detective's revelation that former
Democratic National Committee interim chairwoman Donna Brazile was the
high-ranking DNC representative who allegedly called police and the
Rich family and demanded to know why a private investigator was
"snooping" into the case.

The detective, Rod Wheeler, told WND: "The high-ranking DNC official
that called the police after I inquired about Rich's case was Donna
Brazile. Why shouldn't I reveal who it was?"

Brazile, who was also a CNN contributor and a Hillary for America donor
at the time, was caught providing Clinton with questions that would
later be asked of Clinton at a televised CNN town hall. In an interview
with Fox News before the election, Brazile denied leaking the questions
to Clinton. But in a March 17, 2017, column for Time magazine, she
finally admitted doing so, saying it was a "mistake I will forever
regret."

A spokesman for the Rich family has repeatedly criticized detective
Wheeler, who was hired by the family in March, for not ruling out the
possibility that Rich may have leaked DNC emails to WikiLeaks. The
family recently sent Wheeler a "cease and desist" order to stop his
investigation into the murder.

As WND reported, Rich was murdered July 10, 2016, a block from his home
in an affluent neighborhood of Washington, D.C. He was shot in the back
with a handgun at 4:18 a.m., and nothing was taken from him. He was
transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead at 5:57 a.m. On
July 22, just 12 days after Rich's death and days before the Democratic
Party Convention in Philadelphia, WikiLeaks released 20,000 emails from
DNC officials.

Wheeler said in several interviews last week that a federal
investigator has elaborate details of Rich's connection to WikiLeaks
and is a credible source.

While the Twitter rules don't address news stories about high-profile
public figures and high-profile public scandals, it appears there were
no violations under the company's trademark, copyright, graphic
content, unlawful use, Twitter badges, abuse, violent threats,
harassment, hateful conduct, account abuse, private information,
impersonation, self-harm or spam restrictions.

However, the rules are open-ended in several categories so that if a
politically motivated employee was offended, he could push the button.

Interestingly, anti-Shariah activist Pam Geller reported also on
Wednesday that Evan Williams, Twitter co-founder and still a board
member, "went on a snark attack against President Donald Trump – a
prolific tweeter, if there ever was one – and outright apologized for
helping the former businessman reach the pinnacle of power, the White
House."

"In an interview with the New York Times, he said his organization was
intended to give everyone a chance to engage in the free exchange of
thoughts and ideas. But apparently, he now feels he created a monster –
that the free exchange offered Trump, and by logical extension, Trump
supporters, has just gone too far.

"And he's not gonna take it any more."

She reported the Indian Express wrote: "Twitter co-founder Evan
Williams ... apologized for making Trump's presidency possible. Williams,
who still is a member of Twitter's board of directors, in an interview
... said the purpose of his organization was to give everyone a chance to
have free exchange of information and ideas.

"'I thought once everybody could speak freely and exchange information
and ideas, the world is automatically going to be a better place. I was
wrong about that,'" the report quoted him saying.

The report continued: "He further went on to apologize in case the
microblogging website played a role in getting Trump elected 45th
president of the United States. 'It's a very bad thing, Twitter's role
in that. If it's true that he wouldn't be president if it weren't for
Twitter, then yeah, I'm sorry,' he said."

Trump has openly credited social media for his success.

"Without the tweets, I wouldn't be here ... I have over 100m followers
between Facebook, Twitter [and] instagram. Over 100 million. I don't
have to go to the fake media," he said.

If the Seth Rich murder was just an armed robbery why was the FBI
looking into it? why is the mainstream media so hell-bent on shutting
this story down? Why is Sean Hannity being silenced for even covering
the murder of Rich? There are many unanswered questions but hopefully
this FBI memo can be the first step into uncovering the truth behind
the murder of Seth Rich.

In a heavily redacted memo, released to me by a source within the FBI,
we see Seth Rich's name. The Email states that the laptop contained DNC
and Wikileaks information.

At the bottom right it has code that can be used to look up the
official FBI memo SCRDC-408

What that code means is name of person being looked into. "SCR" Seth
Conrad Rich. Location "DC" with "408" documents. Any FBI Memo, if it's
a target of an investigation will show a code that can be used by
journalists to request a FOIA. So FOIA experts can use that code and
obtain a less redacted version.

The official story is that the laptop was retrieved by the police and
has since stayed in their custody. My source says that is true, but he
says there is a twist. The Police couldn't unlock the laptop and called
the FBI for assistance to unlock it. A Technician was sent out to
unlock the laptop and during that time the FBI retrieved the
information off of Rich's computer. There they found 44,055 emails and
17,764 attachments. Why has no one until now come forward with this
info?

The emails detailed DNC Chair D. Shultz talking of freezing other
candidates out and Suspicion of Wikileaks within DNC. It also shows on
the laptop multiple people within DNC what Rich was communicating about.

This is an ongoing story and I will continue to update you as we
uncover more information.

Ed Butowsky, the man who offered to assist the family of Seth Rich with
the cost of hiring a private investigator, told the Gateway Pundit that
he held a December 2016 conversation with the father of the slain
staffer.

Butowsky further stated that the family was deeply concerned with their
son being remembered for helping to get President Donald Trump elected.

Speaking to Butowsky by phone on Thursday evening, he told the Gateway
Pundit that during a conversation with Joel Rich on December 17, 2016.

"They know — we all know," Butowksy said.

In an audio recording that I previously obtained, private investigator
Rod Wheeler explained that Seth's brother, Aaron Rich, had tried to
block Wheeler from looking at Seth's computer — even though there could
be evidence on it.

Wheeler said that Seth's girlfriend told him that Aaron Rich had
possession of Seth's cell phones, but Aaron denied it and said "we're
not going to worry about the cell phones."

Aaron also blocked Wheeler from finding out about who was at a party
Seth attended the night of the murder.

"All I want you to do is work on the botched robbery theory and that's
it," Aaron told Wheeler, according to Wheeler's claim on the audio.
Wheeler said that Seth's father Joel "does not appear to have any
hidden agenda."

"He said no, he said I have his computer, meaning him," Wheeler said.
"I said, well can I look at it?...He said, what are you looking for? I
said anything that could indicate if Seth was having problems with
someone. He said no, I already checked it. Don't worry about it."

Aaron Rich works for Northrup Grumman, which was named as the
fifth-largest defense contractor in the world in 2015, as a lead
software developer.

"It's not just hacking and defending, there's a lot more to it," a
cyber software engineer at Northrup Grumman says in a video on the
company's website.

An additional leaked phone conversation I previously obtained featured
award winning journalist Sy Hersh confirming that Rich had made contact
with WikiLeaks.

"There are no DNC or Podesta emails that exist beyond May 21 or 22,
last email from either one of those groups. What the report says is
that some time in late Spring... he makes contact with WikiLeaks, that's
in his computer," he says. "Anyway, they found what he had done is that
he had submitted a series of documents — of emails, of juicy emails,
from the DNC."

"All I know is that he offered a sample, an extensive sample, I'm sure
dozens of emails, and said 'I want money.' Later, WikiLeaks did get the
password, he had a DropBox, a protected DropBox," he said. They got
access to the DropBox."

Hersh also states that Rich had concerns about something happening to
him, and had shared the DropBox with trusted associates incase anything
happened to him.

"The word was passed, according to the NSA report, he also shared this
DropBox with a couple of friends, so that 'if anything happens to me
it's not going to solve your problems,'" he added. "WikiLeaks got
access before he was killed."

In an email exchange that had been previously provided to me
exclusively, Butowsky pleaded with Hersh to go to Congress with what he
knew.

"I am curious why you haven't approached the house committee telling
them what you were read by your FBI friend related to Seth Rich that
you in turn read to me. Based on all your work, it appears that you
care about the truth. Even though, as you said you couldn't get a
second, shouldn't you tell them so they could use their powers to
determine the truth?" Butowsky asked.

In a bizarre response completely contradicting what Hersh is heard
saying on the audio recording, he denies having any inside knowledge of
the case.

"ed –you have a lousy memory...i was not read anything by my fbi
friend..i have no firsthand information and i really wish you would
stop telling others information that you think i have...please stop
relaying information that you do not have right...and that i have no
reason to believe is accurate..." Hersh wrote.

Desperate to find the truth about what happened, Bukowsky continues to
plead with the journalist to go forward.

The Washington Times wrote more about this this week.

"I know it isn't first hand knowledge but you clearly said, my memory
is perfect, that you had a friend at the FBI who read / told you what
was in the file on Seth Rich and I wonder why you aren't helping your
country and sharing that information on who it was?" Bukowsky responds.

Rich was shot in the back in the early morning hours of July 10, 2016,
near his home while he was on the phone with his girlfriend — 12 days
before the publication of the DNC emails by WikiLeaks. The police
initially ruled that it was a botched robbery — but his wallet, watch,
and necklace were still on his person when he was discovered by police.

The report from the Washington Times points out that "the same day Seth
Rich was murdered, an FBI agent's car was burglarized in the same
vicinity. Included in the FBI equipment stolen was a 40 caliber Glock
22. D.C. Metro police issued a press release, declaring that the theft
of the FBI agent's car occurred between 5 and 7 a.m. Two weeks later,
the FBI changed the time of the theft to between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. Was
the FBI gun used to shoot Seth Rich? Neither the FBI nor the Metro
police will discuss."

Last July, Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) — a 30
member group made up of well respected former experts from the National
Security Administration, tech companies and other intelligence agencies
put out a report asserting that the DNC emails came from a leak, not a
hack.

VIPS stated that "forensic studies of 'Russian hacking' into Democratic
National Committee computers last year reveal that on July 5, 2016,
data was leaked (not hacked) by a person with physical access to DNC
computer. After examining metadata from the "Guccifer 2.0" July 5, 2016
intrusion into the DNC server, independent cyber investigators have
concluded that an insider copied DNC data onto an external storage
device."

Additionally, the former intelligence operatives detail how the FBI
neglected to perform any independent forensics on the original
"Guccifer 2.0," and assert that "the reason the U.S. government lacks
conclusive evidence of a transfer of a 'Russian hack' to WikiLeaks is
because there was no such transfer."

Among those who signed on to the report is William Binney, former NSA
Technical Director for World Geopolitical & Military Analysis;
Co-founder of NSA's Signals Intelligence Automation Research Center,
Larry C Johnson, who is retired from the CIA & State Department, Kirk
Wiebe, former Senior Analyst at SIGINT Automation Research Center of
the NSA, and many more.

Though Assange has infamously expressed interest in Rich, he has always
maintained that WikiLeaks will never name a source. WikiLeaks has
offered a $20,000 reward for Rich's murderer however, and has retweeted
articles that asserted he was their source without providing any
additional comment.

UPDATE: We altered this article after we received a letter from the
family attorney. Nothing that we have ever reported on this story has
had malicious intent. Our heart goes out to the family. We hope this
case is solved for the sake of the family. "

"Lobbyist Jack Burkman, who began a private investigation into the
murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich last year,
says he was nearly killed after a man who joined the investigation
attempted to murder him last week, according to a report.

"It's a horror story," Burkman told the Washington Post Monday.

Kevin Doherty, 46, shot Burkman multiple times and ran him over with an
SUV, according to the Post.

Conspiracy theories have circled around the death of Rich, who police
have said was most likely shot during a random robbery. Doherty worked
for Burkman as he sought to profile who they thought could be Rich's
true killer.

Tension reportedly developed between the two as Doherty began to think
the profiling project was his and began speaking to reporters without
Burkman's consent, Burkman told the Post.

Burkman fired Doherty and sent him a cease-and-desist letter in July,
according to the news outlet.

"I just figured the matter was closed," Burkman told the Post. "But
what happened is, I guess, he was simmering and simmering and
simmering."

A source who identified as a senior FBI official contacted Burkman and
claimed to have internal documents relative to another case he was
working on.

The anonymous source planted envelopes of information under a traffic
cone in the parking garage at the Key Bridge Marriott in Rosslyn,
according to Burkman.

As the lobbyist arrived to retrieve the documents, with his pet
Dachshund in hand, he reached under the cone and was shot in the
buttocks and thigh and run over by an SUV.

Burkman spent three days in the hospital, and his dog was not harmed.

Doherty was charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
and two counts of malicious wounding. He is currently jailed in the
Arlington County Detention Facility.

FBI Asks Court for 66 Years to Release Information From Seth Rich's Computer

"The FBI is asking a U.S. court to reverse its order that it produce
information from Seth Rich's laptop computer.

If the court does not, the bureau wants 66 years to produce the
information.

Rich was a Democratic National Committee staffer when he was killed on
a street in Washington in mid-2016. No person has ever been arrested in
connection to the murder.

U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant, an Obama appointee, ruled in
September that the bureau must hand over information from the computer
to Brian Huddleston, a Texas man who filed a Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) request for the info.

The FBI's assertion that the privacy interest Rich's family members
hold outweighed the public interest was rejected by Mazzant, who noted
the bureau cited no relevant case law supporting the argument.

But the ruling was erroneous, U.S. lawyers said in a new filing.

The bureau shouldn't have to produce the information because of FOIA
exemptions for information that are compiled for law enforcement
purposes and "could reasonably be expected to disclose the identity of
a confidential source," the lawyers said in a motion for
reconsideration. Another exemption, which enables agencies to withhold
information that would disclose law enforcement techniques also
applies, they said.

"Given the Court's findings that except for the information related to
Seth Rich's laptop withheld pursuant to Exemptions 6 and 7(C) based on
privacy interests, the FBI properly withheld or redacted all other
information responsive to Huddleston's requests, the production order
seems inconsistent with the rest of the order," the motion stated.

The FBI, after claiming it never possessed Rich's laptop or any
information from it, acknowledged in 2020 that it had thousands of
files from the computer.

The bureau "is currently working on getting the files from Seth Rich's
personal laptop into a format to be reviewed," the government said at
the time.

Information and material extracted from the computer were provided by a
source to an FBI agent during a meeting on March 15, 2018, FBI records
officer Michael Seidel said in a declaration. He said the files
included photographs and documents, among other material.

In the new filing, government lawyers said the FBI never extracted the
data, which it revealed as originating with a law enforcement agency.
They said the information is on a compact disc containing images of the
laptop.

"The FBI did not open an investigation into the murder of Seth Rich,
nor did it provide investigative or technical assistance to any
investigation into the murder of Seth Rich. As a result, the FBI has
never extracted the data from the compact disc and never processed the
information contained on the disc," they said.

To produce the information, the FBI would have to convert information
on the disc into pages and then review the pages to redact information
per FOIA, according to the government.

If Mazzant upholds his order, the FBI wants a lengthy period of time to
perform the work—66 years, or 500 pages a month.

"If the court overrules the FBI's motion, the FBI wants to produce
records at a rate of 500 pages per month. At that rate, it will take
almost 67 years just to produce the documents, never mind the images
and other files," Ty Clevenger, a lawyer representing Huddleston, told
The Epoch Times in an email.

"After dealing with the FBI for five years, I now assume that the FBI
is lying to me unless and until it proves otherwise. The FBI is
desperately trying to hide records about Seth Rich, and that begs the
question of why."

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has suggested Rich leaked Democratic
National Committee (DNC) files to WikiLeaks, but special counsel Robert
Mueller said the real source was Russian hackers. Still, Mueller's
finding conflicts with statements from CrowdStrike, the firm hired to
investigate how the DNC files were released. "
