If we think that Israhell unleashed Covid-19 to disable the world, would we also think that Israhell has a green passport plan that will let them go out into and dominate the world that they have disabled?   <:^0

Israel's vaccine passports could be a model for the world

In early February I received my green-coloured vaccine certification for having two jabs in Jerusalem. Now Israel is rolling out a 'green passport' that should enable the vaccinated to return to semi-normal life. This could lead to freedom to travel and even entrance to places like gyms and shopping centres, while the unvaccinated will have fewer privileges. Israel has pioneered a mass vaccination program and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in January: 'We will be able to open our economy quickly, the pubs, restaurants, gyms, schools, synagogues and theatres'. Today, Israel begins to roll out these green vaccination passports.

Israel's path to providing the vaccinated with privileges has been a rollercoaster. The country has had three major lockdowns and even with the mass vaccination of millions, the airports remain closed. A lockdown that began for a third time in December was partially lifted in mid-February and some schools re-opened. While fifty per cent of Israel's total population has received at least one jab of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, two million people who are eligible had not been vaccinated by mid-February. It is believed that some will refuse to be vaccinated for reasons ranging from concerns over the vaccine to misinformation on social media. Israel's plan to enable people like me with 'green' certificates, to get inside bars or gyms, has been greeted with confusion and controversy.

Here is what we know. Israel is begging people to get vaccinated, giving away free cholent, a kind of stew, to ultra-Orthodox Jews, and free pizza and beer to secular people in Tel Aviv. Israel's special parliamentary coronavirus cabinet said businesses like gyms could reopen to the vaccinated who also have a negative Covid test. But the gym owners want everyone to be allowed to come and threaten to stay closed. Some have accused Israel of waging a 'war' against the unvaccinated, or depict the country as a giant test case for what the world may go through soon.

The country's motto is to 'return to [normal] life' with the green passports. This may facilitate entry to pools, gyms and other venues. Downloadable apps and other methods will enable millions to get the passports. There are still a lot of questions about which venues will restrict themselves to only the green passport holders. For the time being it appears many places, like shopping centres, will still allow the general public in while maintaining masks and distancing. The Health Minister Yuli Edelstein says people have a right not to get vaccinated. Those who are vaccinated will have their passport valid for six months after their second dose of the vaccine.

The hurdles for the green passports appear to initially be technological. People need to download them and the app rollout was overwhelmed by demand at first. The second question is whether certain areas will soon be only for the passport holders, since at the moment it doesn't appear there are venues restricted only to the vaccinated. The plan entails passports for gyms, sporting events, hotels, pools and cultural events. The elephant in the room would appear to relate to other cancelled activities that have made life seem abnormal, such as sitting inside a restaurant or a pub or going to see a movie. Already the multi-stage lifting of the lockdown has led people to feel a sense of new freedom. Jerusalem's Gazelle Valley park, a central bucolic wetland that has a herd of deer, was bursting with families over the weekend. No green passport was required to enter.

The first step for the Israhellies travelling on their green passports is Greece, the cradle of Western civilization.  And, of course, from there the world.   <:^0

Israel, Greece agree on 'green passports' for citizens vaccinated for COVID-19

Israel and Greece agreed yesterday to mutually recognize each other's "green passports," enabling people vaccinated against the coronavirus to travel freely between the two countries.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defined the policy adopted by the two as "without any limitations, no self-isolation, nothing." Netanyahu further said that the green passport policy will "allow us to open the economy, trade, cultural institutions and the rest of the education system, but carefully. Once we remove flight restrictions, we will be able to fly to Greece without any limitations."

"I welcome the vaccination campaign of the Israeli population that will allow us to offer Israeli tourists the opportunity to spend their holiday in Greece without any restrictions. I am in favor of a green passport across the European Union, which is being promoted now in Israel, which is making great progress in vaccinating most of their population," Mitsotakis said.

The tourism agreement itself was signed yesterday at the Israeli Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, by Israel's Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and his Greek counterpart, Nikos Dendias. ''I am happy to host here, in Jerusalem, my good friend, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Denidas, and the Minister of Tourism Harry Theoharis. Together we agreed on the principles for mutual recognition of coronavirus vaccination certification. ... This is a very important agreement and achievement for both countries that will develop as the pandemic progresses and will work alongside the guidelines for the return of tourism to both countries," tweeted Ashkenazi.

Apart from the green passport, Netanyahu and Mitsotakis also agreed to cooperate on research over treatment of the coronavirus. During their meeting, Netanyahu told Mitsotakis that earlier in the day he had met with professor Nadir Arber, who developed the new EXO-CD24 treatment. Reportedly, Mitsotakis then asked whether Greece could take part in the clinical trials. Thus, the two leaders agreed to Greek's largest hospital to be part of the clinical trials for the new Israeli treatment.

During the joint press conference, Netanyahu took out of his pocket a vial that contained the new treatment, labeling it a miracle drug. "If you're infected by corona and are seriously ill and have a lung problem, take this, inhale it and you come out feeling good," Netanyahu said.

The Greek prime minister said he was very happy to have discussed the issue of this new drug that caught the attention of the international press. "Assuming that we can overcome the regulatory hurdles, Greece would be happy to participate in clinical trials."

Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv reported Feb. 5 that 29 of 30 coronavirus patients who received the EXO-CD24 treatment recovered in three to five days.

Tourists with valid Covid passport may soon be allowed to holiday in Thailand, PM suggests

Thailand is looking at scrapping its mandatory two-week Covid-19 quarantine for foreigners who can show they have been vaccinated against the virus, the country's PM said in a bid to revive the nation's hard-hit tourism industry.

Speaking after a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said Thailand would look at allowing tourists who can produce vaccine certificates – so-called Covid passports – to skip the nation's two-week quarantine program. Ocha said authorities will devise a scheme to keep track of the visitors.

Tourists are currently allowed to enter Thailand, but they need to prove they are free of coronavirus and undergo three Covid-19 tests during the mandatory quarantine period of two weeks.

Thailand has registered over 25,500 coronavirus cases and 83 deaths.

The Thai tourism industry has been hit hard by the pandemic. According to Bloomberg, in 2019 the country drew some 40 million visitors who spent $60 billion there. However, it registered just 6.5 million tourists last year - and about 500,000 of those were stranded when the government locked Thailand down in March.

Tourism groups in Thailand have been calling for the government to relax its quarantine rules to boost visitor numbers and spending. In January, the government signaled it would be introducing a $10 tourist tax to try and offset some of the costs associated with Covid.

The government has ordered 61 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and plans to inoculate half of its 70 million population by the end of the year. Some of those vaccines will be produced by Siam Bioscience Ltd., which is owned by Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn.

Thailand's Food and Drug Administration has also approved Sinovac Biotech Ltd.'s Covid-19 vaccine for local emergency use.

Prayuth said his government would allow other Covid-19 vaccines to be registered for use if they meet local rules and private hospitals can control their distribution.
