Robert F Kennedy Jr pulled his support for Roger Waters and pledged his support for Israel on Sunday, meeting with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach to heap praise on the Jewish state and join a pro-Israel march waving an Israeli flag.

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach wrote on Twitter:
QuoteRabbi Shmuley Boteach today met with Democratic Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy, Jr. and discussed Israel, the rise of antisemitism, and Kennedy's recent tweet where he supported Roger Waters. "It was courageous of Bobby to come and meet me and reassert his lifelong support of Israel and the Jewish people, continuing in the legacy of his great father who was murdered by Palestinian gunman Sirhan Sirhan because of his own support of Israel in 1968." Rabbi Shmuley and Kennedy discussed the volatile situation in the Middle East and the challenges facing America for more than two hours.

Kennedy explained that his tweet about Waters was in response to someone sharing with him a picture that Waters flashed of Kennedy at one of his concerts, saluting the candidate's willingness to swim against societal currents. "Bobby told me he had no idea that Waters was a vicious antisemite and when he studied the issue and the facts, he immediately deleted the tweet. I believe Bobby and I thank him for his repudiation of Waters. How tragic it is for Waters to have his legacy as an antisemite now overtake his legacy as an accomplished artist."

Kennedy said his dedication to Israel's security is unshakable and unalterable. He also said that he reserves the right to challenge some of its policies, for example, as an environmentalist, with regard to water rights. Rabbi Shmuley agreed that the beauty of Israel, as opposed to all of its neighbors, is that it is an open democracy with a free press and, just like America, welcomes criticism. Kennedy and Boteach discussed the holocaust and the existential and genocidal threats facing the Jewish nation and Kennedy once again affirmed his profound commitment to Israel's security.

"I told Bobby that his father was one Israel's greatest friends and we in the Jewish community mourn him till this day. I then asked him to please march with me this Sunday, June 4th, at the annual "Celebrate Israel Parade," and he immediately agreed. The conversation was riveting. While we disagreed on many issues, he speaks with a refreshing and non-partisan candor. I look forward to jointly marching this Sunday to champion the Middle East's only democracy and the world's only Jewish State."

Boteach went on a tweetstorm highlighting RFK Jr's "clarification":

Despite being a proud supporter of Israel, I can't help but notice RFK Jr. on his own Twitter account didn't make a single post about his meeting with Boteach, his joining a pro-Israel march or his condemnation of Roger Waters over his stance on Israel.

Incidentally, Mark Zuckerberg's Meta restored RFK Jr.'s Instagram account later the same day.

Cornel West Goes After RFK Jr.: 'Needs to Really Get Off the Crack Pipe'
https://www.newsweek.com/cornel-west-rfk-jr-needs-get-off-crack-pipe-1807086

People's Party Presidential candidate Cornel West criticized Robert Kennedy Jr. on Thursday while speaking about the Democratic presidential candidate's stance on Israel and Palestine and said, "He needs to really get off the crack pipe."

"You want a presidential candidate, and I think you just want this in any human being, to have backbone, to have integrity, to have consistency, not to check what you deeply believe after you've had some dialogue or discourse with a group of people or community that's going to be shaping and molding how you perceive the world," West said while speaking on the Bad Faith Pod. "If he [Kennedy Jr.] thinks somehow that each [Palestinian] baby who was killed somehow was never in any way, intentional, deliberate, they didn't know what they were doing...he needs to really get off the crack pipe."

The comments by West come shortly after Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) faced some criticism for expressing support for former Pink Floyd singer Roger Waters, who has widely expressed his distaste for Israel and shown support for Palestine.

Shortly after, Kennedy Jr. deleted his tweet and when asked about it he said, "I made the tweet applauding Roger Waters' courage in opposing the Covid mandates and the Ukraine war. I was unaware of his position on Israel. And when I learned that I immediately took it down."

"I support Israel. My family has a long relationship with Israel and supporting its right to exist and its right to protect its security," Kennedy Jr. said.

When asked about Palestine, Kennedy Jr. said, "And a humane outcome and a recognition ultimately of the aspirations of the Palestinian people is important for everybody."

In April, Kennedy Jr. announced his plan to run for the presidency as a Democratic candidate after he was previously criticized for promoting anti-vaccine theories and opinions.

"I am not an ideal presidential candidate...I'm not one of these people who said I have to be careful because one day I'm going to be in the White House," Kennedy Jr. said announcing his bid. "My mission over the next 18 months of this campaign and throughout my presidency will be to end the corrupt merger of state and corporate power that is threatening now to impose a new kind of corporate feudalism in our country."

Earlier this month, West announced his bid for presidency as a candidate with the People's Party, saying in an announcement, "I enter for the quest for truth. I enter for the quest of justice. And the presidency is just one vehicle we pursue that truth and justice."

Kennedy Jr.'s campaign told Newsweek they had no comment.

Why Is RFK Jr. Shilling for the People Who Killed His Father?
Is he playing 3D chess? Or suffering from Stockholm Syndrome?
https://www.unz.com/kbarrett/why-is-rfk-jr-shilling-for-the-people-who-killed-his-father/

On yesterday's Richie Allen show https://kevinbarrett.substack.com/publish/post/128864382 we covered plenty of controversial ground—global tyranny, is resistance futile, was the Unabomber right, do we need a revolution, are you pro-2nd-Amendment, the wokist debauching of children, why LGBTQ ideology is wrong, and why the war on Russia is really a war on Europe.

One topic we didn't cover was RFK Jr.'s odious regurgitation of obscene hasbara lies. From Haaretz:

Quote"Everything has a historical context in Israel. If you look at why we aren't at a two-state solution, which everyone now says they want, but both in 1947-1948, and again in 2001, it was the Palestinian leadership who walked away from a two-state solution and pledged itself to the destruction of the Jewish people," Kennedy said.

"That's a very, very clear history – and at a time when they had a very, very generous solution on the table. Now, the other thing I say is, Israel is a democracy but a flawed democracy just like the United States. But if I was a dissident Arab, Palestinian, would I rather be a dissident in Israel or in Saudi Arabia or Oman or Qatar or any other Arab nation?" he asked.

Kennedy stressed that "on all these issues ... if you're gay, for example, you can be killed for that. Israel is the only place [in the Middle East] where you have freedom. If you're a transvestite or have any other kinds of dissident views, you'd much rather be in Israel."

He added that Israel is also held to a double standard regarding whether it takes proper precautions in avoiding civilian casualties. "Israel is going to the West Bank and killing children – it's never doing that deliberately, never, and nobody has ever said it is," he said. He accused Israel's Arab neighbors of having a deliberate policy "to attack and target civilians and to kill them."

Coincidentally or not, Kennedy started shilling for the Zionists just as a new Economist-Yougov poll showed he has higher favorability ratings than Biden and Trump in the wake of a group of Silicon Valley billionaires lining up behind him. Did RFK Jr. suddenly realize he has a chance to win, but only if he placates the Zionists, like Trump did? (Actually Trump went much further than just placating them—he seems to have cut a deal with Israel in the summer of 2016 that put him in the White House. The Russiagate hoax was not just designed to hobble Trump, but also to cover up the Israelgate reality.)

RFK Jr. is not a stupid man. He must know the Zionists are genocidal lunatics who have contributed enormously to the ongoing destruction of America, not least of all by murdering his father and uncle. Assuming that to be the case, he would be uttering vapid Zionist platitudes as a cynical political ploy. (So much for his self-professed commitment to tell the American people the truth.) Maybe he thinks, like his father did, that once he's in office he'll be in a position to go after the bad guys.

But it's also conceivable that he actually is that stupid—or, to put it more accurately, that psychologically damaged. There is a psychological phenomenon known as identification with the aggressor, whose best-known example is Stockholm syndrome, that could explain such behavior. Unconsciously, Kennedy may very well know or suspect that Zionists were behind the 1963 coup and the 1968 pre-coup. And he undoubtedly knows that people with a visceral attachment to Zionism dominate the media and to a significant extent the political process. Faced with such overwhelming power and such hopeless odds, he might be driven by unconscious factors to start behaving like a Stockholm hostage.

Seems like Most Americans have Stockholm Syndrome.

Such is the power of the Jew Media, and their NEED to believe in the goodness of the JewSA government.

as far as RFK Junior, I think he is ultra-realistic.  He's had 5 decades to think about what happened to his father and uncle.

But I wouldn't go out of my way to vote for him, until he talks about Israel's criminality.

Quote"I'm very proud of the Israeli Supreme Court," Kennedy said. "I don't want to see it dismantled. I think it is a source of pride."

RFK Jr. on the people to blame for COVID: 'We know who they were and they weren't Jewish'
https://www.jta.org/2023/07/26/politics/rfk-jr-on-the-people-to-blame-for-covid-we-know-who-they-were-and-they-werent-jewish

Speaking at an event geared toward Jewish voters on Tuesday night, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., said, "The charge of antisemitism is one that cuts me."

Kennedy, the anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist and Democratic presidential candidate, was responding to mounting backlash against his claim that COVID-19 was "ethnically targeted" to avoid Jews and Chinese people. That remark, made without evidence at a campaign event earlier this month on the Upper East Side, led to criticism from a range of figures including Jewish leaders and Democrats in Congress. He has denied that it was antisemitic.

At the Tuesday event, Kennedy got a chance to defend his record on the Jews, courtesy of Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the author and former Republican congressional candidate.

The appearance in Hell's Kitchen drew hundreds of attendees, including Kennedy supporters, the Kennedy-curious and a smattering of hecklers. Boteach referred to Kennedy as a "trusted ally and friend" and offered him a platform to expound on Israel and antisemitism.

"I don't believe they believe that I'm an antisemite," Kennedy said about his critics. "I've literally never said an antisemitic word in my life. I believe that they probably think what they were doing was right, in one way or another. And I think we all have this capacity, or self-delusion, to judge ourselves on our intentions rather than our actions."

But Kennedy also expanded on the "ethnically targeted" claim: "It would not have been engineered by Jews in any case," he said. Referring to the people he believes are culpable for COVID's spread, he added, "We know who they were and they weren't Jewish."

(There is no evidence that any ethnic groups are less vulnerable to COVID, which has killed nearly 7 million people worldwide.)

This is not the first time Kennedy has been accused of using anti-Jewish rhetoric to advance his baseless claims about medical issues. He has previously apologized for using the word "holocaust" to describe legislation mandating vaccines for children and, last year, for invoking Anne Frank at an anti-vaccine rally. He has also walked back praise of Roger Waters, the former Pink Floyd frontman and vehement critic of Israel who has been widely slammed for using Holocaust imagery during his concerts.

Kennedy, 69, said on Tuesday that he was friends with Holocaust survivors and their descendants.

"I understand the pain of antisemitism to those people, and I do not want to contribute to that thing," he said. At another point, he said, "I'm aware of the history of blood libels and how that kind of information is used by malicious people to drum up hatred of Jews."

Kennedy's statements almost prevented the event from taking place. On Monday, Boteach announced on social media that the venue that was originally slated to host the event, the New York Society for Ethical Culture, had backed out. In a statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, that venue said hosting Kennedy would be "inconsistent with the longstanding principles and values of the Society." The statement did not detail its objections.

But Boteach found an alternate space for the conversation, where he defended Kennedy from the accusations. He presented the conversation as the first in a series of events with presidential candidates put on by his organization, the World Values Network. The event was originally billed as "The Case for Israel," a tagline that was later changed to "Fighting Antisemitism. Championing Israel."

At another point, Boteach said two prominent Jewish Democrats, Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida and Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey, "owe Bobby Kennedy an apology for calling him antisemitic and saying he's an embarrassment to the Kennedy name."

Gottheimer had called Kennedy "a disgrace to the Kennedy name and the Democratic Party." Wasserman Schultz was one of the lawmakers who initiated a letter by 102 Democrats last week calling for Kennedy to be disinvited from testifying to Congress. Gottheimer also called for the invitation to be revoked.

"If you're an antisemite, then I am funnier than Larry David," Boteach told Kennedy, sparking some polite laughter from the crowd.

Boteach and Kennedy also spoke extensively about Israel. Throughout their conversation, Boteach referred to the legacy of Kennedy's father, former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, who was assassinated during his 1968 presidential campaign by Sirhan Sirhan. Sirhan, a Palestinian, has expressed anger over the elder Kennedy's support for Israel during the 1967 Six Day War.

But the younger Kennedy has cast doubt on Sirhan's guilt, visiting him in prison in 2018 and telling the Washington Post that "the wrong person might have been convicted of killing my father."

(At one point, a woman from the crowd backed that idea, declaring that Sirhan was not the assassin. She was escorted out of the room by security, as were two more people who interrupted the event, including one Kennedy supporter.)

Boteach has praised Kennedy's opposition to President Joe Biden's attempts to rejoin the agreement curbing Iran's nuclear program. They also discussed Israel's widely reported possession of nuclear weapons, something the Israeli government, as a longstanding policy, has aimed to keep shrouded in ambiguity.

Kennedy referred to Israel's nuclear capabilities as a matter of fact, itself a highly unusual acknowledgement by a presidential candidate. "Israel's use of that nuclear weapon is not going to happen unless it's attacked," he said.

On Iran, COVID and a range of other issues, Kennedy's declared policies are out of step with the Democratic Party's mainstream. His long-shot campaign, meanwhile, has garnered praise from a number of figures on the right. Morton Klein, the president of the Zionist Organization of America, has reportedly advised him on Israel issues, and the ZOA recently praised what it called Kennedy's "strong support for Israel."

But on at least one topic, Kennedy's views accord with Biden's: opposition to the right-wing Israeli government's judicial overhaul, which has aimed to sap the Supreme Court of its power and independence. The first piece of the overhaul was enacted this week amid protest.

"I'm very proud of the Israeli Supreme Court," Kennedy said. "I don't want to see it dismantled. I think it is a source of pride."
