I have grown increasingly obsessive about reading the Wildfire news.

Starting in 2016, then more so the summers with the super-interesting wildfires, e.g. the 300 square mile blaze that started in July 2018, when a car pulling off the road with a flat tire hid a gradation in the pavement, and ignited a tiny little fire in some dead grass next to the road.

but maybe this one is more interesting.

arson caused 52 acre fire.

The number of Arson fires in 2024 was impressive in the wrong way, and included arson by firefighters.

The big one was the 400K acre fire from Clearlake to Redding.  Some guy pushed a burning car into a gully.

Of course since it's California, EVERYTHING is flammable.
