The Knights of the Golden Circle (KGC) is a pro-Dixie, pro-Confederate and Northern Copperhead fraternal membership and secret society consisting of small groups of members in voluntary association.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KnightsoftheGoldenCircle/

The KGC was originally organized July 4, 1854, at Lexington, Kentucky, with five members. By 1860 there were clubs everywhere below the Mason-Dixon line. Evidence shows the order had clubs in nearly every Dixie state. More than twenty organizations could be located in Texas alone.

"This section of the country is filled with members of this mysterious organization, and their camp fires are increased every night by new parties arriving during the day. The road is dusty with their constant movement, and from this place to Goliad it is said there is a continuous caravan of them, coming in small parties and large parties, on horseback and in wagons, armed and unarmed, with money and without it."

The Knights of the Golden Circle--Filed Under Civil War, August 31, 1862, The New York Herald: "We publish this morning a long and semi-official account of an organization known as the Knights of the Golden Circle. The objects of this organization are said to be to throw obstacles in the way of the government, and to give aid and comfort to the rebellion in every possible way. The exposition which we publish is from the Cairo correspondence of the Chicago Tribune, and purports to be based upon the sworn affidavits of responsible parties. The ceremonies, signs and grips of the order are assumed to be fully explained, and the arrest of a member of Congress and of several other prominent citizens of Southern Illinois is reported. On the whole, the exposition in question is very curious, absurd and interesting, and will well repay perusal."

What the fuck is this?

I just listened to Bill Cooper in his hour of the time lecture in 1994 on the f ín ADL.

He mentions that the B'nai Brith was created through scottish rite freemasonry and from there on the ADL.

He also mentions that The same Organisation ALSO created the Knights of the Golden Circle. And that these Knights were f in agents for freemasonry/jewry.

So FUCK of with your disinfo crap!

Too bad people tend to believe whatever someone else tells them.  If something good comes along then all a talk show host has to do is sway people with innuendo and tainted information.

Now, you, as an agent of filth have attempted to ruin a great opportunity without checking such out.  I see your Satan's demon face (icon) full of anger and deception.  Whose side are you really on?  Matthew 16:23

Original Intent, The Courts, the Constitution, & Religion
[The Revolution, Bible and Congress.]
by David Barton, 1999

"Whereupon, Resolved, That the United States in Congress assembled...recommend this edition of the Bible to the inhabitants of the United States."

Page 96-102

On July 19, the Congress ordered that the Declaration of Independence engrossed on parchment in beautiful script so that it could be signed by the entire Congress. On August 2, 1776, the members of the Congress placed their hands to that document, signing it in the form which is now so recognizable to the entire nation.

A year after signing the Declaration--and now nearly a full year into the British embargoes against the Colonies--America began experiencing a shortage of several important commodities--including Bibles. Therefore, on July 7, 1777, a request was placed before Congress to print or to import more. That request was referred to a committee of Daniel Roberdeau, John Adams, and Jonathan Smith who examined the possibilities and then on September 11, reported to Congress: [T]hat the use of the Bible is so universal, and its importance so great...your Committee recommend that Congress will order the Committee of Commerce to import 20,000 Bibles from Holland, Scotland, or elsewhere, into the different ports of the States of the Union.

Congress agreed and ordered the Bibles imported.

On October 31, in consequence of several unexpected American victories (Bennington, Stillwater, Saratoga, and others), Congress appointed Samuel Adams, Richard Henry Lee, and Daniel Roberdeau to draft a proclamation for a national day of prayer and thanksgiving. On November 1, 1777, Congress approved that proclamation, which read:

Forasmuch as it is the indispensable duty of all men to adore the superintending providence of Almighty God; to acknowledge with gratitude their obligation to Him for benefits received and to implore such farther blessings as they stand in need of...[to offer] humble and earnest supplication that it may please God, through the merits of Jesus Christ, mercifully to forgive and blot [our sins] out of remembrance...and to prosper the means of religion for the promotion and enlargement of that kingdom which consisteth "in righteousness, peach, and joy in the Holy Ghost."

On December 15, 1777, John Adams reported to Abigail that the direct, open, and frequent intervention of God was evident to most Americans:

I have had many opportunities in the course of this journey to observe how deeply rooted our righteous cause is in the minds of the people... One evening as I sat in one room, I overheard a company of the common sort of people in another [room] conversing upon serious subjects... At length I heard these words: "It appears to me the eternal Son of God is operating powerfully against the British nation for their treating lightly serious things."

That spiritual tone extended far beyond the passing conversation of just the "common sort of people"; it was also evident among the people's leaders. for example, when the General Assembly of Vermont asked the Rev. Peter Powers to address them in an "election sermon" (a discourse on the application of Biblical principles to civil government), Powers agreed. On March 12, 1778, he addressed the Assembly in a message entitled "Jesus Christ, the True King and Head of Government" based on Matthew 28:18. Powers declared:

We have renounced the tyrant of Britain and declaimed loudly against monarchial power and have set up a free people. We own no other prince or sovereign but the Prince of Heaven, the great Sovereign of the Universe. To Him we swear allegiance and promise, through His abundant grace, to keep His laws.

Throughout the struggle, the clergy played an important role from both sides of the pulpit. From the back side of the pulpit, they exhorted the people and provided Biblical guidance through numerous topical sermons, election sermons (like the one mentioned above, and artillery sermons (a discourse on the application of Biblical principles to the military). In fact, John Adams listed the Rev. Dr. Mayhew and the Rev. Dr. Cooper as two of the "characters...most conspicuous, the most ardent, and influential" in "an awakening and a revival of American principles and feelings...in 1775."...

In fact, so prominent were the clergy in the struggle that the British called them the "Black Regiment" due to the black clerical robes they wore.

On May 2, 1778, when the Continental Army was beginning to emerge from its infamous winter at Valley Forge, Commander-in-Chief George Washington commended his troops for their courage and patriotism and then reminded them that:

While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.

Later that year, still in the midst of the Revolution, the help that America had already received from their "firm reliance on Divine Providence" was so obvious that George Washington told General Thomas Nelson:

The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations.

On October 12, 1778, Congress again reaffirmed the importance of religion and made provision for its widespread encouragement when it issued the following act:

Whereas true religion and good morals are the only solid foundations of public liberty and happiness: Resolved, That it be, and it is hereby earnestly recommended to the several States to take the most effectual measures for the encouragement thereof...

That same year (1780), Samuel Adams reminded the troops:

May every citizen in the army and in the country have a proper sense of the Deity upon his mind and impression of the declaration recorded in the Bible, "Him that honoreth me I will honor, but he that despiseth me shall be lightly esteemed" [I Samuel 2:30].

As the war prolonged, the shortage of Bibles remained a problem. Consequently, Robert Aitken, publisher of the Pennsylvania Magazine, petitioned Congress on January 21, 1781, for permission to print the Bibles on his presses here in America rather than import them. He pointed out to Congress that his Bible would be "a neat edition of the Holy Scriptures for the use of schools." Congress approved his request and appointed a committee of James Duane, Thomas MKean, and John Witherspoon to oversee the project.

In October 1781, amidst the work on the Bible, the Americans won the Battle of Yorktown and the British troops laid down their arms. The British press reported the activities surrounding the surrender:

It was on the 19th of October that lord Cornwallis surrendered himself and his whole army... Two days after the capitulation took place, Divine service was performed in all the different brigades and divisions of the American army in order to return thanks to the Almighty for this great event; and it was recommended by General Washington to all the troops that were not upon duty, in his general orders, that they would assist at Divine service "with a serious deportment and with that sensibility of heart which the recollection of the surprising and particular interposition of Providence in their favor claimed." ...

Despite the victory, work on the new Bible continued. As it neared its final state of readiness in late summer 1782, James Duane, chairman of the Congressional committee, reported to Congress:

He [Mr. Aitken] undertook this expensive work at a time when from the circumstances of the war an English edition of the Bible could not be imported, nor any opinion formed how long the obstruction might continue. On this account particularly he deserves applause and encouragement.

On September 12, 1782, the full Congress approved that Bible which soon began rolling off the presses. Printed in the front of that Bible (the first English-language Bible ever printed in America) was the Congressional endorsement:

Whereupon, Resolved, That the United States in Congress assembled...recommend this edition of the Bible to the inhabitants of the United States.

Of this event, one early historian observed:

Who, in view of this fact, will call in question the assertion that this is a Bible nation? Who will charge the government with indifference to religion when the first Congress of the States assumed all the rights and performed all the duties of a Bible Society long before such an institution has an existence in the world!

New Hampshire talks Civil War against feds!

The New Hampshire state legislature took an unbelievably bold step today by introducing a resolution to declare certain actions by the federal government to completely totally void and warning that certain future acts will be viewed as a "breach of peace" with the states themselves that risks "nullifying the Constitution."

This act by New Hampshire is a clear warning to the federal government that they could face being stripped of their power by the States (presumably through civil war!

The remarkable document outlines with perfect clarity, some basics long forgotten. For instance, it reminds Congress "That the Constitution of the United States, having delegated to Congress a power to punish treason, counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States, piracies, and felonies committed on the high seas, and offences against the law of nations, slavery, and no other crimes whatsoever;. . . . . therefore all acts of Congress which assume to create, define, or punish crimes, other than those so enumerated in the Constitution are altogether void, and of no force;"

Federal gun crime laws? Void. Federal drug crime laws? Void. The gazzillion other federal criminal laws that deal with anything other than the specific enumerated crimes? ALL VOID.

One would think that if any lawyer anywhere in the entire country was worth his salt, all federal criminal trials would have ended years ago. This seems to prove that most lawyers are dullards.

New Hampshire deals a complete death blow to the pending federal hate crimes legislation by pointing out "That, therefore, all acts of Congress of the United States which do abridge the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, are not law, but are altogether void, and of no force; . . . . ."

Later in the Resolution, New Hampshire makes clear what the feds are now risking if they proceed further: The removal of all powers from the federal government by the States!

Quoting directly from the Resolution: "That any Act by the Congress of the United States, Executive Order of the President of the United States of America or Judicial Order by the Judicatories of the United States of America which assumes a power not delegated to the government of United States of America by the Constitution for the United States of America and which serves to diminish the liberty of the any of the several States or their citizens shall constitute a nullification of the Constitution for the United States of America by the government of the United States of America. Acts which would cause such a nullification include, but are not limited to:

I. Establishing martial law or a state of emergency within one of the States comprising the United States of America without the consent of the legislature of that State.

II. Requiring involuntary servitude, or governmental service other than a draft during a declared war, or pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.

III. Requiring involuntary servitude or governmental service of persons under the age of 18 other than pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.

IV. Surrendering any power delegated or not delegated to any corporation or foreign government.

V. Any act regarding religion; further limitations on freedom of political speech; or further limitations on freedom of the press.

VI. Further infringements on the right to keep and bear arms including prohibitions of type or quantity of arms or ammunition; and

That should any such act of Congress become law or Executive Order or Judicial Order be put into force, all powers previously delegated to the United States of America by the Constitution for the United States shall revert to the several States individually."

I have reported on this blog for quite some time that we here in the United States are heading toward Civil War. Many of you told me I was a nut for thinking that.

The simple fact is that we are long overdue for another Rebellion in this nation and I heartily endorse the idea of having one again very soon; preferably starting THIS year!

We must stop our federal government dead in its tracks because it is out of control and very dangerous. If stopping them means attacking them and destroying them by force, then so be it.

Joe,

I am not a Mason.  The trouble we are suffering from is not what's "known" but what we think we know that has been repeated from others.  This has reached such a point that no secret organisation can be started that's not considered "the Masons".  You'd think the Christians would Not have been able to hide from the Romans without being called the same.

Now if you really want to destroy a Christian organisation then you keep falsely calling the KGC a Masonic organisation--but you're wrong.

As a non-White I would be barred from every kind of White supramicist/White Nationalist organization as I am a devout and practicing Muslim and I have Arab, Black, Sephardi and Moorish blood, However my question is if an organization strives to good things, why make it a secret? Besides the Masons when they started they were an organization of actual builders who built Cathedrals and Castles and had to guard their information since they freelanced to different rulers hence the name "Freemasons" but were infiltrated and changed in to something completely different by Jewish interests that the name lost its meaning. HT,

You have a point in that America was settled by a certain people and at least that, with all the guilt-laden history, is not challenged as yet.  The KGC is themed after the Christian Crusader and so not every organisation in the country is for everybody and certainly a Christian group (not the forum mind you) still has that right of association.

Re: secret.  There are people in every generation just as with the Christians of Rome that need to keep secrets.  There is nothing wicked about using good judgment.

THE SOUTHWESTERN HISTORICAL QUARTERLY
Vol. XVIII OCT. 1914, No. 2
(THE FIRST SESSION OF THE SECESSION CONVENTION OF
TEXAS,  ANNA IRENE SANDBO)

IV. Texas On the Eve of the Civil War

"In order to understand all phases of the secession movement in Texas, the existence of a secret order known as the Knights of the Golden Circle must be noticed. It met a hearty welcome in Texas in the summer of 1860, and much has been said about the influence that it exerted over the events that rapidly followed in the state during the winter and spring of 1860 and 1861.  It appears that the order was primarily formed for filibustering purposes in order to perpetuate the institution of slavery. John C. Calhoun is variously credited or blamed as the originator of the order. 219  It has also been maintained that the Democratic leaders after their defeat in 1859, at the hands of Houston and his adherents, regained their power and prestige in the state through the activity and influence of the order. 220  G.W. Bickley, a member of the order, spent the summer and fall of 1860 in Texas establishing lodges throughout the state. Although the headquarters of the order were at San Antonio, it was strongest in the eastern part of the state, where the disunion spirit also had its greatest strength. 221  But whether this strength of the disunion movement was because of the influence exercised by the order is doubtful. The fact, no doubt, that a larger proportion in that section had emigrated from the slave-holding states, and the fact that they had been troubled more by incoming abolitionists may sufficiently account for this conditon. San Antonio and the surrounding country were about evenly divided for and against secession in 1861, which at least shows that the influence of the order was not controlling in that part of the country. According to the True Issue, the friends of Breckenridge, Bell, and Douglas associated together in the order in perfect harmony, and declared that this was conclusive proof that the order was not organized for the mere purpose of promoting disunion, for, says the editor, "certainly members of the Union party would not be caught in a disunion organization." 222  Yet in a pamphlet circulated by Bickley before the Austin meeting in October, it is said that "The K.G.C. constitutes a powerful military organization, as a nucleus around which to hang such political considerations as will, if well managed, lead to the disenthrallment of the cotton states from the oppressive majority of manufacturing and commercial interests of the North." 223

After hearing Bickley's speech at Austin on the character and aim of the order, Judge Paschal came to the conclusion that the order was a secret police; that it was accustomed to denounce individuals; that it worked by secret means, as dangerous to the innocent as to the guilty; that it marked baggage; that it undertook to pass upon the soundness of Southern citizens, having a common interest in the subject of slavery; and concluded, "It arrays itself with the misguided partisans who threaten to overthrow the government, should they not elect their candidate, and it proposes by secret means to proscribe all who will not fall into their revolutionary purposes. It is, then, a secret political agency and one which established a police above the laws, which are sufficient for every emergeney." 224 According to R. H. Williams, who was a member of the order, the organization was ostensibly formed to protect Southern rights, but its real object was to bring about secession and it did all in its power to further that movement. 225 Newcomb, the Union editor of the Alamo Express, was most severe in his denunciation of the order. He said that it was a powerful instrument in the hands of the leaders of the secession movement; that the first secession convention was affected through this organization; that the first armed rebels under Ben McCullough were members of the order; that it furnished the vigilance hanging committees, and that to it belonged the responsibility for the murders and arsons committed during the summer of 1860. 226

To what extent, however, the order influenced the secession convention, directly or indirectly, must remain a matter of surmise. The most that one can safely say is that probably the order encouraged secession and the extension of slavery, and that it was a factor of some importance in forming and uniting public opinion at this time."

Footnote n219 A writer in the Continental Monthly for January, 1862, says: "This organization, which was instituted by John C. Calhoun, William C. Porcher, and others, as far back as 1835, had for its sole object the dissolution of the Union and the establishment of a Southern Empire; Empire is the word, not confederacy or Republic:-and it was solely by means of its secret, but powerful machinery, that the Southern States were plunged into revolution, in defiance of the will of a majority of their voting population." The evidence upon which the above statement is made in regard to Calhoun is not known. Authentic Exposition of the Knights of the Golden Circle, 1. In Losing, Civil War in America, I, 187, a footnote reads, "It is authoritatively asserted that it [the order of the Knights of the Golden Circle] was founded by John C. Calhoun and other South Carolina conspirators, in the year 1835." But no authority is given.

Quote from: "high_treason"However my question is if an organization strives to good things, why make it a secret?
Sometimes there are good reasons for doing so, even though such organisations are even more open to corruption than those whose activities are public. As an example, the Cosa Nostra started as a peasants rebellion against particularly cruel, avericious and vicious landlords. There were good reasons for keeping its activities secret. However, the end result was that it became a criminal organisation, although this didn't happen in earnest until the time of Mussolini.

Sullivan,

Perhaps we'd first have to accept the premise about secrecy as a given which I don't:  "Sometimes there are good reasons for doing so, even though such organisations are even more open to corruption than those whose activities are public."

Another misconception in our time is slavery and the Confederacy:

"As for the South, it is enough to say that perhaps eighty per cent. of her armies were neither slave-holders, nor had the remotest interest in the institution. No other proof, however, is needed than the undeniable fact that at any period of the war from its beginning to near its close the South could have saved slavery by simply laying down its arms and returning to the Union." --Major General John B. Gordon, from his book, Causes of the Civil War.

Also the Name John Stewart is on the emblem..................  (jewish?   ;) )

OB,

The cross and crown is a symbol of antiquity and denotes who the King of kings really is.  During the American Revolution the battle cry was, "No king but Jesus" and by the KGC single-faith forum statement you will find there are no other religions that really want to hang around with the occasional Scripture quotes--it just drives away the snakes in my opinion. You'll find the cross and crown in stained glass windows and literature of most mainline churches prior to 1800 and not the exception.

I'm positive Bill Cooper knows or even unknowingly hangs around more Judaic influence than I've known in a lifetime so far.  You are far more likely to receive hidden messages and agenda having to do with that organisation than even remotely through the KGC.

Dixie was willing to accept help from any outside nation in its bid for freedom just as were the colonies in 1776.

(All KGC files are within Files section of the forum.  Hey, you may find something "juicy" there--I don't know what.)

P.S.--I just thought of something.  Aren't all those guys you mentioned trying to make money of you?  Yeah, thought so.

Doing personal research in quest of Christian truths is fundamental to being a Knight Defender.  It must be pointed out, however, that our Knights are like any group of Christians with varied and subtle and not so subtle differences.

Here is the beginning of what I've found pursuing Christian truths and I hope that only the sincere and serious minded will be attentive to some interesting American re-discoveries.

This coin was minted between 1851-1873 to the tune of 42,728,340--a large number to be sure.  I ask any if they'd not miss the meaning with this coin if it were 2009?  Explain it away?  Opinions?

Not sure what that latest point about these coins means Gary (Vey?),

I would say it means Rotchild Jewish Banker control.

I was also made aware of this:

"History reveals that the Rothschilds were heavily involved in financing both sides in the Civil War. Lincoln put a damper on their activities when, in 1862 and 1863, he refused to pay the exorbitant rates of interest demanded by the Rothschilds and issued constitutionally-authorized, interest free United States notes. For this and other acts of patriotism Lincoln was shot down in cold-blood by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865, just five days after Lee surrendered to Grant at Appomattox Court House, Virginia.

Booth's grand-daughter, Izola Forrester, states in This One Mad Act that Lincoln's assassin had been in close contact with mysterious Europeans prior to the slaying, and had made at least one trip to Europe. Following the killing, Booth was whisked away to safety by members of the Knights of the Golden Circle. According to the author, Booth lived for many years following his disappearance. "
