There is supposed to be a copy of the CAFR at the main branch of every county library.
I went there with my wife and asked the librarian for the CAFR.
She, of course, had never hard of it.
"You mean the county budget?"
"No", I said. "The CAFR -  County Annual Financial Report"
She looked it up and the only copy was from 1988. The libararian took us up to the reference room...
and guess what?....It wasn't there....hmmmm :x
I Since learned that the County Auditor has a copy. By law, he has to show it to you.
 I was shocked to see all of the assets that my county owns.
 Many of these assets are generating income above and beyond the tax revenue.
 All this from a county that is supposed to be broke and from a state that is supposed to be broke....
Walter Burien is onto something big.
