We know mobile phone microphones can be activated remotely, some say even when the phone is off, and ive read about software being remotely installed on phones, and we saw the amazon thing where they deleted 1984 (irony alert - code orange) off peoples e-book readers from a distance. So Im wondering whats to stop them getting inside any pc or notebook or whatever that has bluetooth or a wireless network features?

Im a bit of a computer nerd, but more a multi media ponytail than a coder propeller head, so Ive always wondered how secure wireless enabled puters are.

Im even thinking they might be able to see the chips heat signiture through walls in super-high res funky nano tech and discern the computations taking place that way. Or detect and decode the electromagnetic emanations of the electrical components and use software to reconstruct what those emanations translate into as data. Or punch the shit out of you while your walking down the street and just laugh and drive off with the laptop. Or kill you in your bed and smash your PC. Or just kill and smash generally in a dronely way, that should reveal the super hidden secrets of the homegrown terrorist.

I reckon a lot of this stuff about civil liberties and human rights and concerns over privacy and shit is just there to make us think we havent already lost these things, and that the fight is always coming up, its never HERE RIGHT NOW SO GO AND WIN!
