Hi, people.

I was invited to come aboard by another member when I said I wished the two people I could really talk to about these matters (conspiracy, etc.) lived in my city, which is Washington, D.C. Anyone live here or in the Virginia or Maryland outposts?

My last good thought: All the names I like best in this movement -- namely, Hufschmid, Bjerknes, others -- as well I'm sure many you all like, I think are presenting their best stab at truth because that's what they are consumed with; yet as they are being thus preoccupied, we also get to see other "truths" and by that I mean their own frailties. All of which just might mean that they are imperfect beings, like ourselves. But beings who are of the spirit of truth, who want what's best. For example, I agree with someone's comment on another thread somewhere that CJB displays intellectual snobbery. I don't know why, but even though I want him to be beyond that (and perfect), I tend to see something endearing there. After absorbing his entire website and contacting him personally a few times, I can say I deem Eric Hufschmid particularly guileless, though he too has blind spots, for want of a better term. Being truthful means being vulnerable.

I don't think DBS comes off as anywhere near a genius, nor does he have to be one. He does perform a very good service, it seems to me. All that and I wish I had Alex Jones's memory.

;) I started at 18 years old. Reading Fourth Reich of the Rich and None Dare Call It Conspiracy, etc. Listening to Myron Fagan on cassette (this was 1978); John Todd, who slammed the Christians but was mentally unstable; even Dr. Beter and his infamous Audio-Letters. I was in Bible college at the time and took the relatively mild scorn from classmates. When something is fascinating in itself, I think there has to be something to it.

Mostly I'd like to be able to convince others (the average joe or arrogant naysayer) of the FEASIBILITY of conspiracy and delve into some territory I haven't heard discussed. Maybe some of it's here.

FROM HERE MUST BE CLEAR...

Already something swiftly changing... After only a single reply, the catalytic power of the chat forum (plus some quickening remarks from Negentropic) have me reevaluating that last post. I will answer myself in the next one.

First off, I can't know with certainty, nor can anyone else, whether CJB is being anything other than sincere in his intellectual display. What's supppsoed to do, play dumb? Mutter? And though EH may have room for adjustment (or may be just fine yet misunderstood), I think he's the truthteller who was born with the most brainpower; he's also the most visionary, which is key to understanding him.

So I realized in the last hour that my approach to my two Jewish woman friends and their know-it-all male friends has actually changed, in that I no longer try to convince them, and in fact, steer clear of what I know will be fruitless. Yes, I'd love to be able to tell everyone where it's at, but it's usually an exercise in futility. In addition, those barbs from Bible school probably affected me more deeply than I'd thought, thus the attempt "to convince," which even in drama is one of the most boring of motivations.

So what I said about vulnerability...here I am, just a bit moreso than yesterday. Thanks for the opp.

My basic feeling, however, is that until the "truth movement" achieves something like critical mass or a doable direction, we are only preaching to the choir by sharing with / informing each other, and one wonders where it's all going to lead in time, if time we have. There was probably more to say this time around, but I'll stop for now. This week I've had time to write during downtime at work. I'm an SP (standardized patient) sporadically as well as a freelance copy editor. The art museum fired me last year for protecting the art too well. So two jobs and happily underemployed. Best to all today. --Noel

Hi Brandy and welcome on!  I am of the opinion Hufscmid is some sort of operative, he says 99% of the 911 truth movement are shills, accused Zundel of being locked up on purpose and other foolishness.  None Dare Call It Conspiracy is one of the first books on the subject I read, and it seems more truthful as the years go by.

Hi Anarchore.

EH strikes me as a man of unbounded freedom. He's also said that he in fact doesn't actually know the veracity of anything he puts forth. He does a sort of "What If-?" but often doesn't clarify. Can we take it? I wonder if Zundel heard that charge and actually got upset. Many times you can hear EH deferring to others who are talking over each other. I was glad to hear him on a Prothink call-in show say that even concerning his negative comments on Alex Jones, no one should think he's stating certain truth, just offering his opinion; that people should be (and are) free to make up their own minds. I think it can be a valid device, that of stirring things up to make people think and investigate. It doesn't matter to me if he's failed, what's interesting is his courage to try, to say... A basic groundwork of skepticism needs to be founded in this movement, and then come back to now and again. Eric doesn't care what people think at all; and he knows that everyone should be subject to investigation, of course himself included. Hell, you can find his phone # on his website. He's a regular guy. I could be totally wrong, and the guy could have it so bent backward that he's suckered me -- but to what end, really? I don't think he would make a video like his on 9/11 and point you directly to Israel on his site if he were disinfo. Isn't that the real test here? And if you were among the Zionist elite, wouldn't you buy up most every truthteller you could, or even create elaborate ops to control info? The book I'm currently reading by Douglas Reed, The Controversy of Zion, makes it clear that elaborate lengths and methods unnatural to the Western Gentile mind are exactly what have kept the Jews in power for so long.

If you listen to his files, Hufscmid himself is clearly not paranoid about his own life; he's just a thinker. When I contacted him I made it clear that I welcomed any investigating he might be inclined to do regarding me. Like calls to like.

So if we aren't wusses, maybe we can let Hufschmid serve as a black hole of sorts for the movement. Cast all your aspersion theretoward, for here is someone who is meek, mild, and doesn't give a damn. And listen to his files on all the other topics he addresses: better cities, societal experiments,...cooking(!) And just think -- the next truther who begins doing suspicious stuff, we can always sic Hufschmid on 'em.

Welcome to the site.  EH tells the truth about 911, Moon Landing Hoax, Holohoax, etc... But at the same time he tries to make DBS out to be a shill. What can you say about a guy like that? Shill or Nut? I guess I have too little time to pursue it any further than that. There is really way too much time spent in this movement with the shill/not shill arguments.

I agree that
Quoteuntil the "truth movement" achieves something like critical mass or a doable direction, we are only preaching to the choir by sharing with / informing each other
But informing each other is also how this movement came about.  Many researchers collected stories, ran down leads, saved screenshots and web pages, etc... in order to put the 9/11 story together.

I was doing research at the beginning with a phone link. I remember the first fact that stood out in my mind was the stand down order of NORAD.  I wrote a speech about it for my toastmaster group back in '02. It wasn't until '05 that I started to realize that israel was involved. It has taken a lot of reading and fact checking to get to this point.  I am saying all this because a lot of knowledge was gained from forums like this one.  "Preaching to the choir" might understand the importance of keeping everyone involved.

At the same time, I acknowledge the need to inform people who aren't on sites like this and who have a hard time accepting that israel did 911.  We need to turn cucumbers into pickles.

There are probably many ways to do that. MonkeySeeMonkeyDo made a collection of facts that tie israel to 911, and that was one of the premier attractions on this site. That was very simple, but very effective.  Everyone learns differently, so there are perhaps other ways of presenting this information that will appeal to masses of people.

Yes, indeed. I agree with all that.
