http://bankbonusguide.com/ There are others sites like that, have a look around.

If you are in the US, there are many banks that are offering people money to signup for an account. Quite afew are offering bonuses of $50-$100, others upto $300. Often they want you to get a checking account with them, a online savings account etc etc. I live in Australia, afew of the banks are doing this here too. So far I have signed up with ING direct, they gave me $40 and there are no fees. I also signed up for virgin saver, they gave me $100 but you have to setup a automatic savings plan which runs from 3 months. I am happy with what I have done, total so far is $140 and I am paying no fees whatsoever.

Get some money out of them, it is not hard, all the signups I have done are all 100% online and only take 10-15 mins to do.

Noticed HSBC is offering $10 every month to account holders called, freebates. HSBC also offer a free creditcard with $50 cashback bonus.

Their ad is pretty funny.

i just closed an account with HSBC.

i did it entirely according to their instructions.

right at the end they tried to hit me with about $4.50 in service fees.

a form of extortion - if you don't pay the service fees, they ding your credit rating.

i emailed the CEO & got things cleared up.

HSBC is not worth anybody's trust.  If they have a Gimmick, so be it - avoid them - they have Banker's Herpes.
