Forum Medal Module

I have been thinking of ideas of how to improve the forum and I did have an idea. Implement a medal forum system. Users are awarded medals for completing such a number of posts, years joined, special awards, awards for donating, awards for furthering the cause etc, the medals are displayed somewhere in the users posts like after their signatures or directly under their avatars. I think it would be worthwhile, fun and bring more activity board.

gamebanana has or did have a medal system, the users it appears really liked it. I don't know much about forums, I only ran one for 1 year and it was not very big. I copied some of the medals and put them in my signature so show what it would be like.
