"Detectives in Wiltshire, London, Jersey, Hampshire and Kent now known
to be examining claims that former Tory leader was a paedophile

Reaction to Ted Heath child abuse allegations – video

The child abuse controversy surrounding Sir Edward Heath grew on
Tuesday as it emerged that at least five police forces have been
running investigations into the late former prime minister.

Detectives in Wiltshire, London, Jersey, Kent and Hampshire have
examined claims that the former Tory leader was a paedophile. But the
Metropolitan police said that it had dismissed an allegation that he
   raped a 12-year-old boy.

As the breadth of police inquiries into Heath's activities became
apparent, a brothel-keeper was identified as the woman who triggered
the latest in a series of controversies that have linked a high-profile
establishment figure to alleged child abuse.

Myra Forde, 67, who has twice been jailed for operating a brothel in
Salisbury, Wiltshire, where Heath lived after leaving office, is
reported to have had a prosecution against her dropped after
threatening to expose him as a paedophile.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission sparked a flurry of
revelations when it revealed it was investigating claims made by a
retired senior officer that Wiltshire police dropped the prosecution in
   the 1990s.

The former officer making the allegations of a coverup was a constable
at the time, and rose to the rank of inspector or above.

Wiltshire police appealed on Monday for potential victims and witnesses
to Heath's alleged abuse to come forward. The force said it had
received a number of calls after issuing the appeal.

Forde, who was originally from the Philippines, trained runaway
children as sex workers from her property in Salisbury, less than a
mile from Heath's house. One 13-year-old girl would go straight from
school to Forde's brothel, which she called the Oriental Massage
Parlour, according to reports of her trial at Winchester crown court.

Following her release from prison, Forde was caught again in December
2009, admitted inciting prostitution, and was sentenced to five years
   in prison.

After Monday's revelations, the Mirror reported a claim by an unnamed
man that he was raped at age 12 by Heath, who died aged 89 in 2005. The
alleged victim claimed he was picked up by the politician in a car on
the A2 in north Kent, within the Metropolitcan police area.

Scotland Yard said that it had assessed an allegation of rape against
Heath in April but decided that there were "no lines of inquiry that
could proportionately be pursued by the Met".

The force has also reportedly been investigating claims against Heath
as part of Operation Midland, which was set up to examine claims of
systematic child abuse by a Westminster paedophile ring, bringing the
total number of forces looking at allegations against the former PM to
   five.

Scotland Yard said it "does not provide a running commentary on
   Operation Midland".

Separately, Kent police said it had received a new allegation against
Heath on Tuesday. A statement said: "Kent police has today received a
report of a sexual assault having been committed in east Kent in the
1960s. The victim has named Sir Edward Heath in connection with the
   allegation.

Police appeal for information on Monday

"Detectives are making initial inquiries and will obtain a full account
   from the victim."

A statement from the States of Jersey police said Heath features as
part of Operation Whistle, which was set up after the Jimmy Savile
scandal and the Jersey Care inquiry. The operation is looking into
allegations of widespread abuse in the island's care homes, including
the Haut de la Garenne children's home.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire police said: "We are investigating
allegations, we have nothing further to add at this stage."

The allegations against Heath, who was unmarried and subject to lurid
speculation about his private life, come amid a succession of claims
about establishment figures sexually abusing children and the crimes
being covered up. The government has set up the Goddard inquiry to
investigate the scale of child sexual abuse and of establishment
   coverup.

Brian Binley, who was MP for Northampton South from 2005 to 2015 and
worked in Heath's office earlier in his career, said he would be "very,
very surprised" if there was substance to the allegations, adding that
he believed Heath was a "good guy".

Binley questioned why the retired Wiltshire police officer had not come
forward sooner. "We must remember that Ted Heath was never even
questioned about these allegations and it might be that the police at
the time felt that the allegations were so unreliable as to dismiss
them – as they do, of course, with many allegations made," he said."

Yankee Doodle has one very very powerful memory of Ted Heath, who seemed to be the quintessential British public school fag-boy, and there is a lot of suspicion about why Heath is the subject of such sudden and intense exposure, when there seems to be a continuing effort by the establishment to cover-up all the aging and dead pedophile faggots -Leon Brittan being one - that seemed to litter Maggie Thatcher's premiership in which the British working man and woman got screwed.

Here's the memory:  at the time when Maggie's Conservative Party was beginning to rebel against her, for fear that people were getting sick of her, and that she was going to drag the party down to defeat, nobody would, however, brave getting "handbagged" by the bitch, and so she continued in power until, one day, in Parliament, Ted Heath stood up, and, with never once mentioning her by name, he gave a speech in which he used the phrase "background noise," which was an obvious reference to Maggie, and, within days, Maggie was on her way out of Number 10 Downing Street.

Methinks Maggie's pedo-fag-boys are getting their revenge by ruining now-dead Ted Heath, putting all the focus on him, and taking the focus off of themselves.  .

QuoteTed Heath for all of his minor faults was quiet well liked by the people.

Margaret Thatcher was disliked and even hated and her legacy lives on in the destroyed mining industry of UK where mass unemployment is still the order of the day.

DEATH awaits us all and HELL awaits Maggie.

QVS was a perfect cover for institutional physical and sexual
abuse, at first, orphan boys and, on and off, over decades QVS has
supplied children (with sealed lips) for abuse, "Where the carcass
is, there the eagles gather". They were accessible to 'eagles' like
top brass military, politicians, Police Officials, Sheriffs,
Fiscals and successful business people in Perthshire, and fools
like me could be squashed, swallowed up or sent to some island
somewhere. They all gather at the water hole. Outrageous you say?
There are similar stories from Wellbeck college and Duke of York,
where names of the famous are well known associations including
famous Statesmen. The link is masons, masters of secrecy and
deception, which is where Hamilton comes in to the story, the weak
link in the powerful chain of abusers. Here we have a perfect
situation where boys, sworn to secrecy and parents under orders to
keep quiet, helpless to complain. Hamilton was unbalanced and had
power by knowledge. This is why he was allowed to have guns. He was
in on the secret and knew names of those other paedophilic members.
If those names get out even now after 12 years there will be a riot
and the press will have a field day! Lives and careers will be
ruined! Is this why Hamilton's file went missing only hours after
the Killings? Is this why Lord Cullen who I believe was a QVS
Commissioner, was appointed to preside over the Hamilton
investigations? This is how Masons operate, they control everything
and their allegiance is to each other. No wonder they want a
100-year embargo on the Hamilton case!

Scottish Independence means nothing if Dunblane isn't sorted.

Quote
Nicole Kidman's Father dies amid pedophile, child murder ring allegations

Judy Byington on September 14, 2014

Dr. Antony Kidman died Friday after fleeing Australia when accused of the sexual abuse and murder of children in an elite Sydney pedophile ring. A month prior Fiona Barnett had filed a complaint with the Australian NSW police and Child Abuse Royal Commission alleging Kidman's sexual and physical assaults on her throughout childhood. When the Commission opened an investigation the clinical psychologist suddenly left his 43 years with the Sydney University of Technology and Royal North Shore Hospital to stay in Singapore until he died. The family has refused to comment and Singapore police opened an investigation on what they termed as an unnatural death.

Yesterday Barnett released her own theory about Kidman's death," The main perpetrator of my child sexual abuse, Antony Kidman, is dead after I filed formal complaints accusing him of the rape, torture and murder of children in an exclusive Sydney pedophile ring. As a child victim of mind control I feel he's been sacrificed for failing to adequately program me."

"Kidman was responsible for ensuring that I never disclosed pedophile ring activities that I witnessed as a child," she continued. "He failed. News of Kidman's death impacted me, someone who has undergone intense treatment. I know that there are other victims of Kidman's crimes out there who are perhaps not as far along the healing path as I am. I anticipate that news of Kidman's death may have a serious impact on these victims. A perpetrator's death can even trigger suicidal ideation.

"My complaints last month to the Australian Child Abuse Royal Commission detailed two incidents in which Kidman subjected me to horrific physical and sexual assault" Barnett said. "But there are even more serious crimes against children that I witnessed Kidman commit as a member of the elite Sydney pedophile ring. Those complaints have gone to the International Common Law Court of Justice in Brussels."

Barnett spoke out the day of Kidman's death – White Balloon Day 2014 – an event aimed at raising awareness for Australian children affected by sexual assault. She stated, "My contribution to White Balloon Day 2014 is to urge my fellow victims of crime to fight the filth that this monster deposited in their minds and if they can muster the strength, join me in my effort to give a voice to victims who are no longer with us."

The ICLCJ Court has been looking into Barnett's allegations against Kidman in relation to their investigation of the global elite Ninth Circle Satanic Child Sacrifice Cult. Over sixty eyewitnesses such as Barnett have testified of Ninth Circle child sacrifice and pedophile activities that spanned the globe, including criminal activities against children in the Americas, Netherlands and UK commonwealth countries such as Australia.

The Ninth Circle was also said to have well organized and secretive human hunting parties that included pedophilia. Privately owned forest groves were believed used in the US, Canada, France and Holland. It appeared children and teens were obtained by the criminal drug syndicate Octopus, which was believed connected to the Vatican. The kidnapped children and teens were said to be stripped naked, raped, hunted down and killed.

Since the tender age of three Barnett had been trapped inside Australia's vast pedophile network where children were sex trafficked, hunted down for sport and murdered. "In the late afternoon of Oct. 28 1975 I was taken to my sixth birthday party in the Kiama rainforest," Barnett said. "The cordial was spiked with drugs. I fell asleep. When I awoke it was dark and I was lying naked face-up spread-eagle on a picnic table with my hands and legs tied. Perpetrators took turns sneaking up on me. A large group of men arrived in pick up trucks. They carried rifles and had a pack of starving Doberman dogs. I was told that the group of naked children huddled nearby were my responsibility. I was to run and hide them. Every child I failed to hide would be killed and fed to the dogs. They painted something on my back and chest, and then released us. I pushed the children up over the first steep hill. It was about the second or third hill that the hunting party reached us. Shots were fired and children began dropping all around me. With all hope lost of my saving the other children, I took off and ran for my life."

Dutch therapist Toos Nijenhuis testified at the ICLCJ Court that as a child and like Barnett, she was badly abused and forced to witness child murders that involved global elites, claimed childhood torture at Barnett's same Australian Holsworthy Army Base and like Barnett, was a victim of Human Hunting Parties. Nijenhuis' perpetrators included former Pope Joseph Ratzinger, Dutch Catholic Cardinal Alfrink and Bilderberger founder Prince Bernhard. Nijenhuis explained to International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State Secretary Reverend Kevin Annett, her witness to child sacrifices as late as 2010.

The Ninth Circle Satanic Child Sacrifice Cult could easily hide crimes of their global elite members. They were well trained by Hitler's mind control experts from Nazi Germany. Barnett's Nazi grandfather's pedophile network was said to include clinical psychologists Kidman and John W. Gittinger who developed a popular test among psychiatric professionals known as the Personality Assessment System. In the Independent Australia News Barnett stated that as a young child, "Gittinger abused and raped me."

In another article of the Independent Australia News it was reported that Barnett's dramatic testimony put members in tears when she went before the Australian Royal Commission into Child Sexual Abuse. Barnett had named as her perpetrators her grandfather, Kidman, two former Australian prime ministers, a Parliament House governor general and a state police commissioner. As with child pedophile rings in the Netherlands, Europe, Canada and the US, the Australian pedophile network was said to include police officers, psychiatrists, biochemists, psychologists, actors, writers, politicians, university lecturers and medical doctors.

"The Commission was in the process of investigating my complaint when Kidman was found to have left the country," Barnett said. "Now one month following my notification against Kidman, he is dead. Kidman's death comes as no surprise. In the past week alone, two people predicted his imminent demise."

This article is dedicated to victims of the Vatican and mafia-run global elite Ninth Circle Satanic Child Sacrifice Cult, and to the memory of over 50,800 missing children, some of whom rest in 34 mainly Catholic-owned unmarked mass grave sites – that have been refused excavation – across Canada, Ireland and Spain. The child perpetrators continue to live lives free of responsibility for their ongoing crimes. Our prayers are with these innocents, and should be for ourselves if we allow this Child Holocaust by our global leaders to continue.

Eyes Wide Shut: 10 Awesome Images You've Never Seen
9. Traumnovelle
Eyes Wide Shut is an adaptation from Arthur Schnitzler's 1926 Traumnovelle or Dream Story. Schnitzler was a playwright, doctor and a friend of Freud. His original novella is set in 1920's Vienna amongst a Jewish community. Despite the obvious differences, Eyes Wide Shut is actually a surprisingly faithful adaptation. Perhaps this suggests that tensions and sexual attitudes between couples hasn't changed for 70 years.Yikes.

Kubrick's widow, Christiane Kubrick has said that he made her read the book as far back as 1968 when Stanley was looking for a film to follow 2001: A Space Odyssey. Christiane didn't like the book as much as her husband and the pair allegedly fought over it which only led Kubrick to conclude that if a book is worth fighting over it has to be worth adapting.

"Questions concerning the traumas suffered by his patients seemed to reveal [to Freud] that Viennese girls were extraordinarily often seduced in very early childhood by older male relatives. Doubt about the actual occurrence of these seductions was soon replaced by certainty that it was descriptions about childhood fantasy that were being offered. (MacIntyre)."

Og,
The 8/2/15 report on SOTT radio - entitled "Behind the Headlines: British Terror In Ireland" - says that the FBI, MI5, and the Gardai combined to do the Omah bombing.  It was intended to be a huge atrocity, sort of a death-knell for the Troubles, with a public backlash so intense that nobody would want them to continue.

The Crown Office sent me off on a wild goose chase by suggesting that
much of the information I sought could be found on the internet.
Fortunately I did not waste much time on this as it was obvious that
information they wished to hide would not be freely available on the
web. Since it had been established that there was no statutory
authority for the closure, I wondered from where the Lord Advocate
derived the right to deny access.
Mr Robertson wrote to the Lord Advocate on my behalf. The reply was a

wrote the following after referring to the England and Wales Public

Followed administratively hardly explains the

My question about the authority to deny access has never been answered,

I suppose they hoped would satisfy me. After studying the criteria
detailed I could not find one that covered the plans of Dunblane
Primary School nor Thomas Hamilton's autopsy report. I pointed out to
my MP and the Lord Advocate that since the Guidelines had been sent to
assist me I should be grateful if they would inform me which criterion
covered the two examples mentioned. I have not had a reply and in fact,
the Lord Advocate has stated that he will not respond to any further
letters from me. But for reasons unknown, correspondence has
recommenced. Possibly the questions I ask are covered by the Freedom of
Information Act and the Crown Office has no choice.
After further correspondence Mr Robertson closed a letter with the
following: "My understanding is that Lord Cullen imposed the closure
and that the Crown Office is implementing that decision."
Apart from
Lord Sewell, nobody at any time has suggested that the idea for closure
came from Lord Cullen. The general consensus was that the proposal for
a 100 year closure was put to him by officials unknown and he agreed.

In fact the decision to impose the 100 year closure was taken at a
meeting held on 13 January 1997.  At that meeting were the Clerk to the
Inquiry and representatives of the police, the Scottish Records Office
and of the Crown Office. Lord Cullen in a letter to me stated
unequivocally that those present at that meeting did not have the
authority, individually or collectively, to do so. The Keeper of the
Records of Scotland and the Lord Advocate agreed that the imposition of
a closure order is entirely a matter for the body responsible for the
creation of the records. However, in a later letter the Lord Advocate
wrote, "Records are usually deposited in a records office by a
department and that department is thereafter responsible for deciding
on the closure period....... In this case since the public inquiry office
was ceasing to function the Crown agreed to assume the role of
depositing department with the responsibilities to which I have
   referred".

Assuming the role of the depositing department and being the creator of
the records is hardly the same thing and it must not be forgotten that
Lord Cullen said that none of those attending the meeting on 13 January
1997 had the authority to impose a closure order.

In above documentary by Russell Burton a commonly overlooked but rather
important fact is mentioned and that is that Carlton Communications in
the 1990s went about to purchase the Kentgate Tapes which were aired
inside the Cook Report. The Cook Report was a show which aired with
Central Television. As it happened the  27-year old fresh-faced
appointed director of corporate affairs, David Cameron, was the
executive given the responsibility for that task. Soon after Carlton
Communications became one of few British wonders in the Corporate Media
Arena. It does not take much imagination that David `fresh-face'
Cameron did some personal archiving, for future (ab)use , exposure and
intimidation, as well.

Cameron: the consummate spin doctor
By Ben Fenton

"One of the few journalists allowed into the executive dining suite at
Carlton Communications' headquarters in Knightsbridge recalls Michael
Green, the famously volatile chairman, lighting one of his cigars after
lunch one day. As the room became ever more befogged, David Cameron,
Carlton's fresh-faced director of corporate affairs, reached out to
press a button on the wall that opened a window above Mr Green's chair,
allowing the smoke to escape into the summer afternoon.

It is a tiny moment that seems emblematic of Mr Cameron's seven-year
career at the company: the autocratic chairman creates an inhospitable
atmosphere and it is the job of his deft public relations man to clear
   the air.

Unfortunately for the would-be MP, keen to add business experience to
his curriculum vitae to impress Conservative selection committees, not
everything could be wafted away as easily as his boss's cigar smoke.

In a series of run-ins with financial journalists, Mr Cameron developed
a reputation for arrogance, evasiveness and, in one case, alleged
mendacity that dogged him during his attempt to become Tory leader in
2005 and may resurface during the imminent general election campaign.

But he also displayed the resilience and steely carapace required to
work at close quarters with the combative Mr Green, now retrained as a
psychotherapist, who has given a rare interview about his one-time
   protégé for this article.

Mr Cameron's Carlton career, his only job outside politics, began in
September 1994, when he was 27. The former special adviser had pulled
strings to land the post: Annabel Astor, his future mother-in-law,
persuaded Mr Green to take on a man with no corporate PR or investor
   relations experience.

His purpose was profoundly political – a fact he did not conceal from
Mr Green. His sights now firmly set on winning a Westminster seat, he
needed to counter charges that he was ignorant of life beyond the
   Whitehall bubble.

The company whose corporate affairs staff he joined was certainly going
places. In less than a decade, Mr Green had transformed Carlton from a
tiny, disparate media company with a turnover of £35m to an
   international business.

The previous year, Mr Green, having already wrested the London
franchise of ITV from Thames, had gained control of Central in the
Midlands. The multiple ITV franchises were consolidating towards a
single entity in what was bound to be a titanic power struggle. It was
one Mr Green dared not lose, and he did not care whether or not he made
   friends doing it.

"My reputation wasn't great and that didn't worry me in the slightest,
but I always maintained my reputation for integrity," Mr Green said.
Early in his Carlton tenure, Mr Cameron had a stroke of luck. His
predecessor having lasted only a few weeks in the job, he suddenly
found himself in charge of corporate communications, almost doubling
   his £49,000 special adviser's salary.

Early in his Carlton tenure, David Cameron had a stroke of luck. His
predecessor having lasted only a few weeks in the job, he suddenly
found himself in charge of corporate communications, almost doubling
   his £49,000 special adviser's salary

He immediately began using contacts made in his former role to
introduce Mr Green to potentially useful politicians. On one occasion,
at the 1995 Conservative conference in Blackpool, Mr Cameron arranged a
dinner with a minister at a restaurant deep in the Lancashire
countryside. Unfortunately, the minister forgot the invitation and the
two men must have sat in uncomfortable silence.

Yet even given his rapid elevation, the job would not have been seen as
especially covetable within his social circle, full of high flyers
already making their mark in established professions. Some friends
watching from outside doubted the wisdom of joining such a company.

   'Borderline respectable'

"[Compared with what some Eton and Oxford contemporaries were doing,]
it was a crappy, crappy job," one friend of 30 years said. "And it was
only borderline respectable. This wasn't like doing PR for Tate & Lyle
or someone. But he needed to get that experience on his CV or he would
   never get a seat.

"In 1994, when he was looking for the right thing, we all believed that
the 1997 election was going to be the Tory equivalent of Labour's 1983
intake – Blair, Brown and so on. It would be [a] battered [party], but
they would be the people who led the Conservative party back to power.
It was a desperate rush to join in."

In fact, the friend said, when Mr Cameron left the Home Office in 1994,
he and his close friends believed John Major would call the next
election in 1996. The Carlton job, in other words, was meant to be a
two-year stopgap before he embarked on his real career.

Mr Green, well aware that politics was his principal focus, gave Mr
Cameron time off to fight the 1997 election and welcomed him back when
Stafford's 8,000 Tory majority was overturned in the Tony Blair
   landslide.

"When he lost [the formerly safe Tory seat of] Stafford in 1997, the
biggest humiliation for him, I think, was having to go back to Carlton,
which he thought he had said goodbye to," added the friend.

So Mr Cameron returned to rounds of heated internal meetings with his
boss, debates on how to engineer the consolidation of commercial
television and the less welcome dealings with the press.

Although rivals said he wrapped himself in a small clique of
like-minded colleagues in a rather scruffy part of a large open-plan
office on the floor below Mr Green, he was generally well liked at
Carlton, not least for his ability to stand up to the chairman.

One of his closest friends told the Financial Times: "He thought the
[Carlton] job was a chance to discover business at board level, and
that was very exciting. He loved his time at Carlton, all except the
   dealings with the press."

The mistrust was mutual. In interviews with seven current or former
   business journalists
who had dealings with Carlton when Mr Cameron
worked there between 1994 and 2001, only one had a positive view of
him, one was broadly neutral and the others negative.

His best-known critic is Jeff Randall, a broadcaster at Sky News. He
clashed with Mr Cameron in 1999, when the then editor of Sunday
Business got wind of Carlton's planned – but doomed – merger with one
of its two rivals, Lord Hollick's United News and Media.

To this day, Mr Randall believes that Mr Cameron dissuaded him from
publishing the story in a way that was dishonest and unacceptable.

But Mr Randall is not as angry as he was in 2005, when Mr Cameron,
PR-turned-MP, was standing for the Tory leadership. In November, a week
before the crucial vote, Mr Randall wrote: "I wouldn't trust him with
my daughter's pocket money ... Watching Cameron pledge to make Britain
'the best place in the world to do business' reminded me just how
   slippery he was [at Carlton].

"To describe Cameron's approach to corporate PR as unhelpful and
evasive overstates by a widish margin the clarity and plain-speaking
that he brought to the job of being Michael Green's mouthpiece.

"In my experience, Cameron never gave a straight answer when
dissemblance was a plausible alternative, which probably makes him
perfectly suited for the role he now seeks: the next Tony Blair."

Today, Mr Randall is unrepentant, although he has given Mr Cameron a
second chance, largely because of the life-changing experiences of the
birth and death of Ivan, the politician's severely handicapped son.

Mr Randall has never publicly accused Mr Cameron of lying during his
dealings with him at Carlton, but friends say he has made his feelings
   clear in private.

However, Mr Green defends Mr Cameron to the hilt: "I've had this out
with Jeff Randall 82 times. He thought he was on to the story and David
threw him off the scent but did not say to him categorically, 'this is
   not going to happen'."

Mr Green admits he was a hard taskmaster. "I was very, very tough,
there's no question about it; I was extremely tough, extremely
demanding, very unreasonable – I don't have any doubt that I was
   unreasonable."

He added: "In terms of [defending] my reputation and what I was like to
work for, I pushed David extremely hard. I'm sure I shouted, I'm sure I
was quite fierce, but that was the way people worked at Carlton – they
accepted it for what it is."

   Verbal Punching

A former Carlton board member said that on one occasion, when Mr
Cameron had to face his boss on the morning that The Guardian newspaper
exposed an award-winning Carlton documentary as a fraud, the PR man was
subjected to the "most visceral, verbal punching I have ever heard
   anyone suffer in my life".

But he withstood it for several hours, the former colleague said,
taking Mr Green and other senior executives calmly through 10 or 11
drafts of Carlton's press statement on the issue. Mr Green added: "I
was a very difficult man to work for, full stop." But he argued that Mr
Cameron retained his own reputation for integrity with most journalists.

Tim Allan, a former special adviser to Mr Blair when the latter was
shadow home secretary in the early 1990s, twice ran up against Mr
Cameron. Once was when his Tory rival was a special adviser to Michael
Howard, the home secretary, the second time when Mr Allan joined Rupert
Murdoch's British Sky Broadcasting as PR chief. Then, the two clashed
over the rivalry between Sky Digital and OnDigital, the ill-fated joint
venture into pay-TV by Carlton and Granada, which collapsed in spite of
a £1.2bn investment. Nonetheless, the two young men became friends.

Mr Allan said Mr Cameron's main problem was that he was operating on a
"very difficult wicket" because of the poor quality of Carlton's
products and the uncompromising nature of Mr Green.

He said: "My own view [of the attacks of Mr Randall and others] on
behalf of the union of spin doctors [is that] journalists are good at
saying, 'we were lied to', when what they mean was, 'we weren't given
the whole right picture, or we didn't ask the right questions'."

BSkyB ran an aggressive PR campaign against OnDigital, which Mr Cameron
seemed unable to counter, according to journalists, City analysts and
   former colleagues.

However, most attributed it to the inferior quality of the product he
was defending. "He had no option but to appeal to the better nature of
Sky," said one working close to him at the time. "And that is not a
   place you want to be."

In the evenings, Mr Cameron often socialised with members of his
close-knit corporate affairs team, many of them fellow Conservative
party members who helped in his ill-fated 1997 and victorious 2001
election campaigns. A favourite haunt was the fashionable Met bar in
the Metropolitan Hotel, on Park Lane. Occasionally, he went gambling in
   Mayfair with Mr Green.

He had daily contact with the Carlton chairman, who taught him how to
understand company accounts, a rare skill among politicians. Mr Allan
said Mr Cameron was one of the few senior MPs who ever reads the
   business pages.

Mr Green, who hinted that he regarded Mr Cameron as a possible eventual
successor had he ever chosen to step down at Carlton (he was eventually
pushed out by shareholders when it merged with Granada to form ITV in
2003), believes his protégé has strong leadership qualities and will
   make a great prime minister.

Mr Cameron even won the praise, if more qualified, from
Labour-supporting senior executives at Carlton, such as Clive Jones,
then chief executive. "He picked up the brief ferociously quickly. Like
a barrister he could pick it up, absorb the facts and present a very
   good case very quickly.

"One of his great strengths and one of his great weaknesses, I think,
is that he is the ultimate PR professional," said Mr Jones.

"He did learn the ultimate politician's trick, which is ubiquitous:
they know how to bully. He learned from his time with Michael Howard, I
think, and he wasn't averse to using a little bit of muscle on
journalists from time to time and sometimes, obviously, that's
   counterproductive.

"There is a line from [T.S.] Eliot that suits David: 'There will be
time to prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet'," Mr Jones
   added.
