Mural of Trump kissing Netanyahu pops up on West Bank wall

Another mural by a controversial Australian artist known as Lushsux has popped up on the West Bank wall.

The image shows a canoodling President Donald Trump and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The two men's lips touch and above their heads Netanyahu says "Thanks for the wall Trumpy pumpkin." Trump appears to respond with: "Bebe your country will always come first my love." [emphasis added]

The man who said he painted it told Reuters:
"The wall is a message in itself... I don't need to write 'Free Palestine' or something like that, something really direct... that people will ignore."

Vice President Mike Pence announced this week that he will be traveling to Israel and Egypt in late December. The trip's focus is to "end the persecution of Christians and all religious minorities," he said at solidarity dinner for Christians in the Middle East. He will also be meeting with Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss prospects for a peace agreement.

The announcement comes amid increased focus on international boycotting of Jewish West Bank settlements, something the Israeli government sees as a boycott against Israel itself. Earlier this month Dickinson, Tex. required homeowners to agree not to boycott Israel in order to receive Hurricane Harvey aid. That requirement was later removed.

Lushsux murals have popped up all over the world. The artist specializes in often humorous critics of politicians and pop culture. Scroll the gallery above for a look at some of the controversial murals to have popped up in the news lately.
