Israel denied involvement in the killing of Iran's general Soleimani, but a new report says it helped the US in the assassination

Israel went to great lengths to distance itself from the drone assassination of Qassem Soleimani last year. However, a new report on the planning and execution of the Iranian General hit claims that Israel was involved.

Soleimani, who commanded the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps' Quds Force,  was wiped out by an American drone near Baghdad Airport last January. His killing brought the US and Iran closer to open war than at any time in recent years, and according to a Yahoo News article published on Saturday, was in the planning stages since the earliest days of the Trump administration.

Based on "interviews with 15 current and former US officials," the article pieces together the effort to "take Qassem Soleimani off the board," in the words of one anonymous CIA official. Multiple US military branches and intelligence agencies were involved, but so too were Israeli special forces, the article claims.

In the runup to the strike, US Joint Special Operations Command personnel traveled to Tel Aviv, where they "worked with their Israeli counterparts to help track Soleimani's cellphone patterns." Soleimani reportedly switched phones several times in the hours before the attack, but the Israelis knew his numbers, and "passed them off to the Americans."

It is unclear which Israeli unit or units had Soleimani's details. All the article reveals is that they were "counterparts" of US special forces.

Israel has repeatedly denied involvement in the Soleimani strike. "The assassination of Soleimani isn't an Israeli event but an American event. We were not involved and should not be dragged into it," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly told his security cabinet after the attack. "Israel stayed at a distance from the incident," was reportedly the line from the directors of Mossad and Israel's Military Intelligence Directorate.

The Israel Defense Forces' international spokesman, Jonathan Conricus, told France 24 that the Israeli military "had no role" in killing Soleimani, emphasizing that "this was an American-executed operation."

The Israeli embassy in Washington did not comment on Yahoo News' latest report.

Israel's alleged involvement in the Soleimani strike would likely come as no surprise to Tehran. Since Soleimani's death, Iran has blamed Israel for assassinating another one of its top scientists, for attacking its oil tankers, and for sabotaging its nuclear facilities. Israel has stayed silent on the accusations.

In 1993, I advertised Computer Graphics services in the San Francisco phone book.

This resulted in 2 very interesting interviews with the CIA.

The first time they came to my apartment, in May 1994.  An old obese man, who said he studied Psychology at Stanford and spent his career "fighting communism", and a young Jewish woman.

They asked me to draw things on the computer, and it was a lot like an hour long intelligence test.  For me it was sort of fun.

The old gut faked the need to make a phone call, and spent 5 minutes in my foyer looking at all my history books.

Then he came and sat down and asked me about one book in particular, Garrison's book about the JFK assassination.

I said, "you guys did it, didn't you."

Not the most diplomatic answer, but they did invite me back for a second interview - at phone company headquarters.

The headquarters building was extremely modern and nearly deserted, almost like a space-ship.

In the room we went to, there was an Israeli woman, an old guy smoking tobacco cigs. standing in between the equipment racks, and the guy I interviewed with.

THE SHORT VERSION:  The CIA was 100% Israeli operated - in 1994.

I believe they were preparing for 9-11, and were methodically visiting every single ambitious tech person in Silicon Valley.

Basically to make sure that no one like Rachel Corrie ended up running a tech company.

There is a lot more to the story.

The CIA also gave an unknown organization complete license to perform MK-Ultra type medical/ hypnosis experiments on San Francisco residents.

Generally they (the people I interviewed with) had a bad vibe.  Very pro-war, greedy, etc.

UPDATE

In 1994, Social Media was completely uncensored.  e.g. the USENET newsgroups.

I used Ba.Computer.forsale to sell computers.

Of course, USENET also had porn newsgroups with NAMBLA type images.

Now in 2021, I just got banned for 30 days for posting this picture.

A Muslim friend said he got banned for comparing Israeli's to insects.

i posted this picture & was banned within an hour.

That is the organization that Israel was building when they interviewed me in 1994.

Total censorship of any effective criticism of Israel.

Planet of the SWEJ - It's a Horror Movie.

The old gut faked the need to make a phone call, and spent 5 minutes in my foyer looking at all my history books.

Then he came and sat down and asked me about one book in particular, Garrison's book about the JFK assassination.

I said, "you guys did it, didn't you."

Interesting, because I know there is truth in Garrison's book.

How?

I was 9 years old, in an after-school Cub Scout meeting, and we heard on the radio that JFK had been shot, and that the shot had come from behind a hedge.  My memory has always told me hedge, but, obviously, it could have been a shrub or bush.

I got home, and the evening news was telling me about the book depository building.

That day, a conspiracy theorist was born.

Years passed, and the controversy grew - Garrison was in the news talking about New Orleans, and there were countless people and books talking about the "grassy knoll" - and, you know what?  I never read a single book, or really listened too seriously to anybody because: 1) I knew it was a conspiracy, but 2) nobody ever mentioned the hedge (or bush or shrub), and, as far as I was concerned, a "grassy knoll" was not a "hedge," so I really didn't give a fuck what they were trying to tell me.

Maybe 10 years ago I found the audio-book version of Garrison's "On the Trail of the Assassins" - spoken by Ed Asner - in a Goodwill store for probably $1.  Okay, I thought, I'll buy it.  Won't take too much time to give it a listen.

Imagine how happy I was to know that - 45-50 years later - my memory from 1963 wasn't my imagination when I heard this:

QuoteAlso never followed up was equally intriguing evidence that there may have been men impersonating Secret Service agents around the railroad yard area.

Joe M. Smith was a traffic officer at the intersection of Elm and Houston streets.  He was told by a woman that the shooting was coming from the bushes.

He said: "There was one Secret Service man when I got there.  I pulled my pistol from my holster, and as I was putting it back, he showed me that he was a Secret Service agent."

You better save that book, because it has some truth in it.
