The director of Israel's Shin Bet security service said Sunday he was very concerned that hardline extremists could assassinate an Israeli leader to foil peace moves with the Palestinians.

Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem, Yuval Diskin said a group in the extreme right is prepared to assassinate politicians in order to halt diplomatic processes.

Diskin's statement was released by another meeting participant who spoke on condition of anonymity because the session was closed.

On November 4 Israel will mark the 13th anniversary of the assassination of late prime minister Yitzhak Rabin by Israeli right-wing extremist Yigal Amir. Last week, Israeli TV stations decided against airing an intrerview with Amir from prison, following a public outcry.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert opened by the cabinet meeting by warning of start of growing lawlessness among West Bank settlers. Olmert said the government would set up a special task force to battle settler violence.

I notice the sudden so-called distancing of the Israeli government from the settlers.  Also with the post I put up that stated that the government was going to stop funding the settlements, which I consider total crap.  First of all the West Bank is controlled by the settlements, wall, military, etc.  and secondly the government has historically given them about 70% of costs.
So why the sudden warning that the "extremists" are going to war, going to start assassinations and so on?  The first and obvious thing is that the Israeli government is about to go on the rampage and blame the settlers, just a littlle more psy-ops.
The IOF, or IDF for the literalists, has assassinated some 776 Palestinians they call terrorists and some 180 ( round figure) civilians since 2000.
It ain't the extremists running the show; it's coming from dead center.

I see this as propaganda to help get the sheeples to the right mind set before the US election and the turning events in Israhell.
