Mayor Michael Puzio was quick to condemn an antisemitic offensive placard which was displayed by members of the Lyndon LaRouche, Jr. organization at the Rockaway Borough Post Office on September 23rd.

The offensive, antisemitic sign that reads "Green energy: more efficient than Auschwitz" seems to compare green energy to the Holocaust.

The display appears to be a free speech issue so the organization remained at the Post Office for the remainder of the day but did not return the following due to outrage in the community.

Police Chief Conrad Pepperman said that because the group was not soliciting nor selling anything, they did not require a town permit.
