Is Monsanto corporation revenge on the world by the Knights Templar?

It seems that in Portugal there a village named Monsanto, and in Monsanto there is/was a castle, and that castle was occupied by the Knights Templar. 

Monsanto is a place where nothing ever really changes and time just seems to stand completely still. The village is one of the main features of a vast panorama incorporating Castelo Branco and the Estrela Mountains over which Lucan's Tower has rung out the hours in exactly the same way for centuries.

With its huddle of steep, granite-paved streets and hobbit-sized houses hewn out of the rock, the origins of this ancient and altogether extraordinary place date from prehistory when it was linked with pagan rituals. In 1165, Portugal's first king, Afonso Henriques, handed it over to Gualdim Pais, master of the Knights Templar, who built the village's impregnable castle.

Monsanto Castle
Gualdim Pais, the founder of Tomar and the Convento de Cristo, built Monsanto Castle after the town was taken back from the Moors in the 12th century. Its impressive walls are made from the local granite as is the town which grew around it. King Afonso Henriques gave a vast area of territory to Pais and the Templars to administer and protect at this time in Portuguese history. The castles at Monsanto and Idanha-a-Velha were both built in 1171, along with Pombal Castle in Pombal to guard the capital of the kingdom which was at Coimbra at the time.

We know about the Knights Templar, and their connection to the Masons, so can we suppose that the Knights Templar from the Monsanto Castle became Masons and got their revenge on the world with the Monsanto Corporation?
