QuoteWolfgang Anacon - Political Prisoner???

Monday, Dec 8, 2008

It was between 1 and 1:30 in the early morning on a Tuesday, November 25th. Wolfgang was working on his computer when he heard loud pounding on the door downstairs. Thinking it was a bunch of drunks, he ignored the noise and continued with what he was doing when the next thing he knew, someone had thrown a grenade into his room!

A loud explosion followed by the room filling with gas, and soon Wolfgang was unconscious. When he awoke he found himself surrounded by three SWAT team members pointing three machine guns towards his head. Wolfgang was under arrest.

What did he do to deserve such treatment? He exercised his 1st Amendment rights by posting to a blog.

He was told that he was under arrest for making "Terroristic Threats." When asked if he had posted to a blog on the local newspaper site he answered, "Yes, but I never said anything to threaten people." This may have been a mistake, but what would you have done just having recently been knocked unconscious and looking down the barrel of machine gun? According to the police report, Wolfgang "...has admitted posting the blog entry but told police he did not intend to terrorize anyone" Talk about twisting someone's words.

The truth is that Wolfgang knew nothing about the post that he was being arrested for ... because he did not write it!!!

Here is the story about his arrest: (note: He is also known as Edward Ebacher)

And here is a copy of the post that got him in trouble:

Someone, who does not like Wolfgang because of his opinions, actually copied the post and uploaded it to that website. Most likely, she is trying to do as much damage to his reputation as possible, but in doing so has actually proven his innocence. Notice that the date this was posted is Nov. 23 at 8:27 pm? Wolfgang was not home that evening nor was he anywhere near a computer. He was at a friends place doing laundry when the article was posted.

When Wolfgang was arrested, the SWAT members were searching his apartment. When Wolfgang asked what they were looking for, they told him they had reason to suspect chemical weapons. Wolfgang knew something was wrong because if they were looking for chemical weapons, why where they not wearing gas masks? And no, there were no chemical weapons, bombs, or any kind of weapons at all in his apartment.

They confiscated his video camera, his press pass, a contract between In Your Face TV and the local cable company, and video tapes. What does this have to do with a blog entry being posted on the internet?

Wolfgang has said that he has evidence that certain police officers are pocketing drug money. The evidence was recorded on video tape. Is is possible that someone saw him videotaping them and realized that this evidence was too dangerous to get out? Did someone hack his blog account and post those threats so the police would have a reason to arrest him? Is it possible that what they were really looking for was that video? I personally do not know and I'm not making any accusations, I'm only reporting what I have been told. It's up to you to decide.

The arrest may have been illegal anyway. We found a Federal Law that states the following:

"Notwithstanding any other law, it shall be unlawful for a government officer or employee, in connection with the investigation or prosecution of a criminal offense, to search for or seize any work product materials possessed by a person reasonably believed to have a purpose to disseminate to the public a newspaper, book, broadcast, or other similar form of public communication,"

The items seized by the SWAT team definitely fall in that category.

Wolfgang needs your help. If you, or anyone you know, has the ability to bail Wolfgang out it would be greatly appreciated. As you can see, Wolfgang is innocent and can prove his innocence, but he needs to get our of jail to work on his defense.

If you want to help Wolfgang raise bail money so he can get out and work on his defense you can use the following widget. Thanks for your support...
