Canada: Urban warfare drills coming to small-town Medicine Hat

I picked up on this at 2:30 am on CBC Overnite where they interviewed a few residents who commented on the size of the trucks hauling in the equipment.
One fellow stated that he had never seen trucks that huge before.
The Mayor of Medicine Hat is an ex-RCMP who was in Kosovo and Croatia training their police.
He thought it was a great idea for the residents to see what goes on in these third world country's.
Or maybe this is a precursor to what's to come in Calgary should the "flu?" suddenly return with a vengeance, collapsing the economy.
Most of the troops are reservists and half of them are from Calgary.
Have they been sending reservists to Afghanistan???
