I also listened to an audio of a gentlemen by the name of Ty Bollinger ( http://www.cancertruth.net/about.html/ )who did a study and found that 90% of Oncologists would not take Chemo Therapy if they had cancer (but that's another story.)

60 Percent of Doctors Don't Get a Flu Shot
Why Medical Experts, Parents, and Others Avoid the Flu Vaccine

Flu Vaccine Has Risks and Side Effects, Ronnie B, Morguefile
Despite pushing the flu vaccine on their patients, a 2008 study reports that 60% of doctors don't get the flu vaccine themselves, for a variety of reasons.

Every year, doctors and health experts warn that the flu vaccine is the best protection against dangerous strains of the influenza virus. But despite talking the talk, 60% of doctors decline the flu shot themselves, while others refuse to vaccinate their own children. Why are so many doctors avoiding the flu shot?
What Doctors Say About the Flu Shot

When asked why they didn't get the flu shot, most doctors responded with a list of excuses: "I was too busy," or "It was inconvenient with my full schedule." Medical professionals are encouraged to promote flu vaccines, so it's rare to find a doctor who will speak out against the ingredients that go into vaccinations... and their side effects.
The Flu Shot and Vaccine Side Effects

There has been an outcry for many years against one of the preservatives used in vaccinations: thimerosal or merthiolate, a mercury compound that has been linked (although the link is hotly contested) with autism and autoimmune disease. Vaccine manufacturers in the United States and Europe are beginning to phase out this dangerous preservative, but it is still present in many vaccines.

Flu shot preparations may also contain egg ingredients, peanut derivatives, and other food ingredients that are highly allergenic – without this information being disclosed to patients or even to doctors.

Many of the flu vaccine's most fervent supporters will admit that they used to suffer a week-long cold a few times a year before the vaccine – and since they started getting the vaccine every year, they get one very intense cold that lasts three weeks or a month immediately after the flu shot.
Vaccinations and Autism Fears

The most pervasive fear around flu shots – and vaccinations in general - is the autism risk, which has been widely publicized but continues to be denied by the medical institution and pharmaceutical companies. Despite the lack of verified scientific information on the subject, MSNBC reports that the "autism fear is [the] biggest issue" for parents who choose not to have their children vaccinated.

Although medical experts and proponents of the flu shot maintain that the link between autism and vaccinations has been disproven, the truth is that studies correlating the incidence of autism in more and less highly vaccinated populations have never been done.

The studies that have been done were conducted by drug companies, with the explicit goal of dismissing the claims that vaccines are dangerous. The research that would set parents' minds at rest on the subject does not exist yet.

Many holistic health professionals believe that vaccines damage the immune system, acting as an immunosuppressant which hinders the natural immune system response and contributes to immune system disorders. This idea remains controversial, with some doctors suggesting that people with autoimmune disease, heart, liver and kidney disease should be first in line to get the flu shot – while other experts maintain that these people are most likely to be harmed by flu vaccines.

Even Rush Limbaugh said today that he REFUSES to get a swine flu shot!!
He also said that he NEVER gets a seasonal flu shot.
This is going mainstream now!!  :P

The entire notion of shots to boost the immune system with regard to the antigen that is injected is a crock of shit. The same groups that heavily push evolution as the only thing to be accepted in how we got here (even though it's still just an f'in theory, just like the big bang) are the ones who are trying to CIRCUMVENT our naturally evolved bio-mechanisms for dealing with bacteria and viruses. It's completely illogical. Not only that but the method they use to avoid the most natural means of keeping stuff out of our bodies (mucous, hair follicles) can allow the pathogen direct access into our bodies. This lowers the likelihood of the natural systems to catch and neutralize the pathogen before it gets further into our bodies.

You would think that they'd promote healthy eating and exercise and hygiene. But if they do that there's less money involved for the people who tip the doctors and help shape the doctoring programs that they go through to get a license.

I personally have no doubt that the thimerosol is responsible for autism. If it was admitted then there would be lawsuits the likes of which have never been seen before. It would also call into question wtf are in any and all shots that are being given since the consumer can not verify what they are getting by simple visual inspection. They even push in courses for behavior therapy that the thimerosol link is bunk. These assholes are protecting each other at so many levels. Most of my peers buy that shit. One professor even linked to a site called quackwatch that supposedly is looking out for our best interests and "clarifies" what's what. It's another one of these "skeptic" magazine type of sites where those who lack the ability to independently research issues can go and have their OPINIONS reinforced regarding what ever bullshit they've been fed.

It's sad. But a huge percent of "high functioning worker bee's" (ie: college educated +) lack critical thinking skills because they weren't taught them in school and they were intellectually too lazy to independently acquire and hone those skills growing up. Websites and magazines like skeptic give them a little shortcut and, having personally read through a skeptic magazine, I saw that the magazine utilizes psychological persuasion techniques such as appealing to pride of being on the "correct" side of an argument even though the arguments are superficial (superficial assessments of information is all that the average person, even college educated, have.).
