I just sold my property here in Cali.
I am tired of the taxes, the control, and the high cost of living here.
I was paying over $1000 per month in property tax and insurance....WTF?
Any worldwide suggestions?

Africa, it's free.  ;)

Bali, Indonesia.

Phuket, Thailand.

Both are low-level police states, but food is abundant, the women are beautiful and the weather's great between tsunamis.

Japan rocks, but the next generation is dominated by girly men.

Guess it all depends on whether you need to work for a living.

When it comes to the global misanthropic agenda there's nowhere really to hide; it's all a matter of degrees.

Did you take a loss selling at this time, or was the property already so inflated in recent years that you came out ahead? I guess getting out of Cali alive is a pretty good start at any rate.

Man, I really want to leave this situation and these goyim behind for a life in the real world too.

But there's just so many questions and uncertainties...
Like: How much of a drastic change would it be from the way of life in this grid of the hardcore ZOG I'm (most of us, so we I guess) in now...?
What aspects of this system that we enjoy would we have to give up...?

QuoteBali, Indonesia.

Phuket, Thailand.

A beautiful place would be great, but the closer you are to the equator, the higher the chance of nature ruining your life.

I also have the feeling of needing to stay and help save my country (futile?).

Talk about ambivalence...

Hmmm...
"Real world..."
What's that?

Maybe Brandenton, FL?  A lot of depressed prices in the area, a lot of golf, Sunset Beaches, crime is not too bad... not as exciting as Cali though business

Phuket, Thailand is actually not a bad choice in IMHO if you have some cash
After the Revolution of 1905, the Czar had prudently prepared for further outbreaks by transferring some $400 million in cash to the New York banks, Chase, National City, Guaranty Trust, J.P.Morgan Co., and Hanover Trust. In 1914, these same banks bought the controlling number of shares in the newly organized Federal Reserve Bank of New York, paying for the stock with the Czar\'s sequestered funds. In November 1917,  Red Guards drove a truck to the Imperial Bank and removed the Romanoff gold and jewels. The gold was later shipped directly to Kuhn, Loeb Co. in New York.-- Curse of Canaan

i think it depends very much on the details, both your own personal situation & the details of a specific living situation.

generally, it's much easier to dis-engage from ZOG if you are self-sufficient - and this takes land.  it also helps to have good neighbors, so if you take a vacation your home is still intact.  that combination can be found in just about all 50 states.

Scorpio is married so the availability of 'beautiful women' is a moot point.

i think the US is a fairly insane place to raise children at this point, unless you have good neighbors and can arrange home schooling.

i think Sweden has demonstrated some serious guts with their media coverage of Israel's organ-stealing.  they're also actively dis-engaging from the petroleum-industrial complex, like Brazil did during the 1970's.

i think it depends a lot on where you want to be during the next 2 generations as economic collapse proceeds.  of course, once again, if you have the land to be independent of prices, and can even grow an acre of crops from which biodiesel can be extracted, so much the better.

one person i know purposely chose a place so far out in the boonies that he doesn't have to worry about zoning stuff.  i.e. he can put up a $1000 shed without worrying about paying $20,000 for zoning stuff.  of course, many of his neighbors are meth heads.

not a lot of easy answers.

one thing i did notice in recent travels is that things are just plain cheaper in Oregon.

We did pretty well on the sale of the property, primarily because there is acreage with the house.
I think we are dumping this place right before prices go into the dumper.
Many people actually think that economic recovery is right around the corner, so prices have stayed pretty high here.
We are considering the oregon coast. Many people built vacation homes there and now cannot sell them.
There are many rentals available there.
I do not want to buy again because I tired of paying property tax.
Also, the prices are still WAY overinflated.
Overall, Oregon is much much cheaper than cali.
Not too many people - that's a good thing.

I want to travel and check out thailand and the surrounding countries.
It is very hard to know what to do.
If I leave the country, I want to go somewhere where the cost of living is low.

a few years ago i met a retired sociology prof. named Sammy who met & married a Thai woman.  he was 65, she was 25.  they along came little Sammy.

Sammy said doctor appointments in Thailand were $15.

Malaysia. Country is non Zog as far as i can tell. Well sheltered from GFC and favourable exchange rate.

Dunno how hard it is to immigrate there. Plus getting a job there will pay a low wage, but everything is cheaper there.

I think where you go depends on your skill set/employment picture as well.

abduLMaria

you don't have to go that far to get away from ZOG.

see all those gray states ?  much less Zog.

australia.  yeah its zio-controlled but the attitude of the people there are great.  employers respect the fact people dont want to work their asses off all the time and give a lot of time off.  that's why you see australians all over the world.

Hey what do you work as, or have the most experience in? You might want to go somewhere that offers what you do.

MikeWB

Try Vermont or Montana or any of the northern states with lots of land and little population. When SHTF, you want to be armed, have the land to live off and not be in an urban center. Oh, and you can also escape to Canada and then go anywhere you want from there.

I went to Costa Rica several years ago with high hopes.
Property is quite expensive there and everyone can smell the 'gringo' money.

Panama is not the most friendly country towards Americans (not that I blame them)
because of the Panamanian Invasion, in which 2000-3000 Panamanian citizens were killed.

For Now, I have decided to move to coastal Oregon.
I am only renting right now, because I think property values are gonna plummet in the US.  :o
A jobless recovery!!....yeah right!!

From there my wife and I are gonna do some traveling and check out some other countries......

Thanks for all of your input fellow tiu members!

I have my own business that deals with shipping, so it doesn't really matter where I live.
I like Oregon because:
1) The cost of living there is very low
2) No sales tax.
2) There aren't too many people, as long as you are not in Portland, Eugene or Ashland.
3) Coastal Oregon is very scenic. Even though it get's over 100 inches of rain per year.

Costal Oregon? You'll be amongst the pot-smoking anarchists with dreadlocks that regularly tune into the Judas Goat Jones show.

Mike - Those are both great states...Only problem is that I hate snow...It's my problem....we all have our weaknesses.
Apparently Vermont is getting very serious about states rights.....(Too late IMHO)
Montana is too fkn cold for my arse, although it is beautiful, according to friends of mine.

Thanks

TF- You are right...but don't forget, I am moving from northern California, the epicenter of what you are talking about.
If you go far enough up the oregon coast, it starts to change a little.....

About Thailand, having lived and worked there for 6 months, it is not as good as it may seem. The cops are extremely corrupt and the locals when they see a farang (That is foreigner) they automatically put you on the crosshair that you are rich and must be fleased. If you want a good suggestion you should provide more information, things like climate, work prefences, government type, legal system. So far I can tell you which places I've lived in and wouldn't recommend.

Thailand - Great for vacation but not so great to live in, especially that a lot of Russian Jews control business there

Gulf mini states - Just a bunch of concrete jungles with no soul and now no money, the only fun activity that people do there is drink themselves to death every weekend and work like slaves the rest of the week

USA - I only experiences the East Coast and mainly Maryland so I didn't like it much

Egypt - If you go for the Capital or one of the major cities its ugly, crowded and dirty, if you go to the resorts like in Sinai lots of chosen israelis running hotels and motels there, if you go the south of the red sea like Hurghada and Marsa Alam its good weather, beaches but no job.
