This conference is entitled "Denial and Democracy". There is surely only one way to combat "denial" in a "democratic" context – by not instituting debate-denial across Europe but instead by providing documentary evidence to disprove the deniers' case. Two weeks ago Benjamin Netanyahu based his address to the United Nations on evidence – so-called industrial WMD construction blueprints – which had been rejected as spurious by Jewish experts such as Prof. Van Pelt, who went so far as to say "the deniers are having great fun because it shows how people are gullible". These same documents held up as proofs by Netanyahu were in fact first discovered and published in 1976 (as proof of the normality of gas chambers* thus labelled for disinfecting clothing) by the veteran revisionist Professor Robert Faurisson!

Can this expert conference succeed where Netanyahu failed? Can this conference send us away with one – just one – clear item of documentary proof which confounds source-critical Holocaust revisionists? Or must we merely silence such sceptical voices with threats, fines and prison sentences and teach our school children debate-denial of normal historical source criticism? Have you seen the "Guidelines for Teaching about the Holocaust"? holding up the Handbook cover If I may I'll quote from it: "Care must be taken not to give a platform for deniers ... or seek to disprove the deniers' position through normal historical debate and rational argument."


As a former lecturer at a university (**) I ask, please: Can the EU do what the UN did not and give us today one document upon which school children and their teachers can rely? For even the denial law does not define what is the unique industrial WMD for which denial of proof condemns citizens of Europe and beyond to sit for years in prison.

Williamson defends himself against court proceedings

The British SSPX member Richard Williamson is set on conflict with German justice.  In an interview in January with Swedish television the bishop denied the holocaust, so he is now facing legal punishment.

British Bishop Richard Williamson is having to defend charges brought by the Regensburg public prosecutor. Charges of public incitement (Volksverhetzung) were submitted by the prosecutor on Wednesday, based on Williamson's denial of the Holocaust in an interview broadcast by Swedish television in January. The SSPX bishop disputes the legal validity of the proposed summary punishment. "If I had consented to the publication of my interview in Germany," Williamson told the magazine Spiegel, then there would have been grounds for his prosecution. But this was not the case.

Williamson stated: "I have tried to defend myself by pointing out that this Swedish television interview was broadcast in Germany via the internet without my consent." In fact Williamson tried but failed through a court injunction in January to block publication of the Swedish television interview on the internet. According to a recent report in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, "the Swedish television company has maintained in a letter to the Regensburg prosecutor that there was no agreement with Williamson to restrict the broadcast to Sweden."

Williamson threatened with 12,000 euro fine

The details of the prosecution's request for summary punishment are not yet known, but Williamson faces a possible fine of 12,000 euros. He says this is "surprisingly high", and such a summary punishment would constitute a criminal record in the Federal Republic. According to the Regensburg district court it should take about a week to assess the request for summary judgment received last Wednesday. Since Williamson is not resident in Germany, the court order could be delivered to his German attorney.

In the interview, recorded at the SSPX seminary in Zaitzkofen near Regensburg, the 69 year old Williamson denied that six million Jews were murdered in gas chambers, and accepted only that a smaller number of victims died in the Nazi concentration camps.

In January Pope Benedict XVI suspended the excommunication of four bishops of the traditionalist order, including Williamson. The Vatican was heavily criticised for its handling of the affair, since the Williamson interview was published at the same time. In a letter to all Catholic bishops, Pope Benedict later admitted errors in his handling of the issue, and maintained that he had only heard about the bishop's Holocaust denial after making his decision on suspending the excommunication.

Unjustly throwing historians in prison will not ultimately achieve the Zionist goal which is suppression of facts.

Imprisonment has been used throughout the ages by those in power who wish to suppress the truth yet truth usually manages to escape.

Lady Renauf has asked the EU to provide just one document providing proof, I doubt it will be forthcoming.

Before I learnt about Ernst Zundel and other people imprisoned for so called holocaust denial I truly believed in the holocaust as told by many films and phony history.

I do not believe any longer, I also made sure my teenage children and their friends researched this subject rather than falling for a story as I and countless others did.

Those trying to suppress facts are not winning as this subject is now a favourite in many circles with historians generally being believed.
